Wynta Previews New Music On @DJAGOnline1’s Livestream

Upcoming Dancehall Artist Wynta has been on the move in these past few months. The TopRanks Entertainment-affiliated Deejay has been promoting the single, “Ghetto Currency“, and enjoyed over 100k views of its music video on Youtube. Ready to take his talents to more eyes and ears, he recently joined the Livestream of UK’s DJ AG Online in Kingston.

On March 24, Wynta showed up to DJ AG Online’s Livestream event to perform. The Deejay previewed new music, and quickly received praise from viewers, and fellow Artists at the location. The Deejay is known for the tracks “Rich Rock” and “16 & Bad“, and is working on his debut project to be released later this year. DJ AG Online’s livestream platform consists of a live DJ set where he allows public performances. Since 2023, he has shared the stream with a number of Artists including Skepta, Krept & Konan, Tippa Irie, Daniel Bedingfield, Macka Diamond, Beres Hammond, Asher D, Craig David, Kxng Izem, Valiant, and McKada. The DJ recently left Jamaica, and looks forward to coming back for more performances in the future.

Wynta’s “Ghetto Currency” is out now on all platforms.

Welcome to the month of April. This is Reggae Artist Jesse Royal’s month, and he has something great in store for us. This month he will premiere his High Life Festival, and he will be delivering great music, and share the stage with a few of his friends. Ahead of the concert, he’s setting the tone with new music. Recently, he shared the new single, “Light Of Mine“.

Produced by Dretegs, Jesse Royal is on a high, and continues to elevate in, “Light Of Mine”. The past decade has seen the Artist create a successful lane for himself, and continues to progress with plans to do even more. The track displays some of his best deliveries with some motivating lyrics throughout, and like that classic song, he’s gonna let his little light shine for a long time to come. Jesse’s success didn’t happen overnight, and it took a lot of overcoming the hard times to enjoy some of the sweet life. Jesse Royal recently performed a number of shows in Brazil, and is putting the finishing touches on his High Life Festival that will be held on April 19 in Kingston. Follow the Royal lead to prosperity.

Today we close off “Women’s History Month“ for 2025 with an Oldies Sunday selection. We give thanks for the many great Women who have made significant contributions to Music, and we look forward to more of them creating History as time goes by. Today’s selection on comes from Lorna Bennett with the track, “Dancing To My Own Heartbeat“.

Produced by Tony Scott and Pluto Shervington who also wrote it, and released through the Wild Flower label in 1976, Lorna Bennett was in a disco mood on “Dancing To My Own Heartbeat”. She speaks about the vibe when music is played, and how people react it, but she pays special attention to one Man who she admires. She watches how his body moves to the rhythm that she produces, and it does something amazing to her. “Dancing To My Own Heartbeat” quickly gained attention in Jamaica, and became a hit for the younger crowd. The single was Lorna’s first after taking a break from music to pursue her Law studies in Barbados. Lorna’s version of the track wouldn’t be the only recording that was released, but it still gained popularity for quite some time. Lorna Bennett was already a hitmaker as she became the first Jamaican Woman to top the Island’s singles charts for five years.

After the release of “Dancing To My Own Heartbeat”, Lorna Bennett decided to quit music to open her Law practice in St. Elizabeth. She returned to music briefly in the 2000s, then quit again to manage the career of her son, Recording Artist Protoje, who has made an indelible mark in Jamaican music. “Dancing To My Own Heartbeat” is played and loved by many to this day.

1Ski OG Deals With A “Double Life” In New Video

Dancehall Artist 1Ski OG is making progress on the International scene, and this is just the beginning. He recently made his International debut with the release of two singles, “Feel Like” and “Double Life“, and gearing up to do even more in promotion of them. He premiered the visual for “Feel Like” last weekend, and this weekend he premieres the official video for “Double Life”.

Directed by SupaDope, 1Ski OG gets on the defensive side with video for the Weekday-produced “Double Life”. Taking a page out of Spy Films like “Mr. & Mrs. Smith“, 1Ski discovers that the Woman he is pursuing is a Spy, and has an order to get rid of him. On the other side, he is also a Spy, and has the right to kill or be killed. The audience is taken through a story that finds these two getting hot and heavy in one scene, while the other finds them pointing guns at each other.  The video for “Double Life” plays well with the theme, and looks to be one of 1Ski OG’s most viewed visuals in the future. It’s been a while since the world has heard from Five Steez. When he wasn’t busy making music, he has been putting the running shoes on overtime, being a part of daily runs, and participating in a few marathons. The time has come for him to get off the track, and focus on this new track called, “Wild Jamaicans From Kingston“.

Produced by Inztinkz and featuring Sly Rankin, Five Steez delivers some commentary on his Island home in, “Wild Jamaicans From Kingston”. The Rappers shed a light on the craziness that gets highlighted on Prime Time News, providing views that elude a few Tourists who only see the Resorts and white sand beaches. They talk about the crime, the body counts, the protests, and the drama, but it’s still home regardless. Production borrows vocals from Hip Hop Icon Nas’ “Thief’s Theme“, and Inztinkz gives the beat a feel that you can’t help but rock to while Steez and Sly paint the pictures. They say there a few types of Jamaica, this is just one of them.

UK-based Recording Artist Mahalia is in album mode, and she’s getting busy. She started the year with a collaboration with Lila Ike that has been bubbling up, and many wondered what her next move would be. She has a few tricks up her sleeve, and she unleashes the follow up single, “Different Type Of Love“.

Produced by J.L.L., Dave Nunes, and FS Green, Mahalia calls up Masicka for her new “Different Type Of Love” single. The Singer has her eyes on this Man, and she shares her time with him that is nothing like she has experienced before. Whether she’s under the influence or just lovestruck, she is enjoying every second of it. Masicka, though here for a short time on the track, adds some Dancehall vibes over the production, and will have fans yearning for an extended version between these two Artists.
