This Dancehall tinged number has made its rounds on various mediums and today the visual for Rihanna and Drake’s “Work” is finally here! Directed by the legendary Director X, we see Rihanna and Drake getting cozy with each other in a club and then in a room with a hue that takes us back to Drake’s “Hotline Bling” video (also directed by X). Rihanna gets a triple feature today. This time around, her “BBHMM” single gets the SOS Dynamikz treatment. Here the Producer slowed down the tempo, and brought Rihanna to his Planet of Musictopia where she can still collect what she’s owed. Look out for SOS’ new project coming soon to this Blog, and hear his Production with acts like MinkJo, Toian (coming soon), and on “The Release” on Hype TV every Tuesday at 8:30PM. The music scene in Canada is just one big melting pot. With influences from Hip Hop, Pop, Reggae, EDM, Afrobeat, and Dancehall to name a few, it’s not a surprise when your favourite act knows the lingo from your music culture. Today, Nemesis, Rizzlaa, and Chillaa are all about their dream girls, mainly Rihanna. Titled “Bad Gal Like RiRi” and produced by Chillaa, we hear them speak on the qualities their ideal women should have and are on the hunt for her. If you’re listening and you fit the criteria, why not give them an @. This single was also featured recently on Major Lazer’s Radio show, and on Drake’s OVO Sound Radio. Rihanna had “Navy” Twitter in a frenzy when she released her 8th studio album, “Anti“. With a first single featuring Drake titled “Work“, Acmatic’s own Plateface decided to add some touches to the Boi1da produced track. Here he gave it a more Dancehall feel to compliment Rihanna’s delivery. This version sounds like something that if Rihanna’s people are watching (crosses fingers), they could use in a Jamaican street dance themed music video. Loved the original? This video just presented itself on my radar and as the title says, “The stans go wild!“. Recently the world got to hear Rihanna’s “Birthday Cake Remix” with Chris Brown, and it got many mixed reviews. MooreMayhem made this video to drop in her 2 cents and trust me not only is it enjoyable, but it’s sure to make you think. I won’t take up much more of this column, check the video by and ENJOY!!
