This Dancehall tinged number has made its rounds on various mediums and today the visual for Rihanna and Drake’s “Work” is finally here! Directed by the legendary Director X, we see Rihanna and Drake getting cozy with each other in a club and then in a room with a hue that takes us back to Drake’s “Hotline Bling” video (also directed by X). Rihanna had “Navy” Twitter in a frenzy when she released her 8th studio album, “Anti“. With a first single featuring Drake titled “Work“, Acmatic’s own Plateface decided to add some touches to the Boi1da produced track. Here he gave it a more Dancehall feel to compliment Rihanna’s delivery. This version sounds like something that if Rihanna’s people are watching (crosses fingers), they could use in a Jamaican street dance themed music video. Loved the original? Featuring contributions from Beenie Man and NY Rapper Azealia Banks, a Caribbean connection is made and lines from “Sim Simma” are borrowed. Rock City have been in the music business for a pretty long time and have worked with the likes of Akon, Rihanna, Jennifer Hudson and much more.
