With a follow up to his 2016 “Savage” on the way, Florida based Rapper Daley started making some noise earlier this year with a couple freestyles, and unveiling Artwork. He now adds a Music Video to the list. Joining forces with Rapper/Poet Trill Soulutionary, they get away from it all on “For The Dreamers“. Directed by Kiel Hoilett a.k.a. Kilo, the duo meditate, reason with each other, and spit thoughts throughout the visual. Put yourself in their place and think how the world can be such a crazy place that you need to head to the hills, streams and valleys to clear your head and dream of better days. With close to 30 years in music, Dancehall Artist General Degree is still making the music that will rock you! It has been almost 20 years since his mega hit, “Traffic Blocking”, but today he drops a video for a banger with Terror Squad/YAP Music Recording Artist, Kingston. Titled “A Lil Closer” and directed by Damian Fyfee, the duo mix Dancehall with Pop/R&B, and a whole lot of “Rude Bwoy Loving” for the ladies. The production, provided by Huubanga Productions, will have you bouncing just like the lovely ladies in this visual. For Trini Recording Artists Sarkastik Ambassador and Nick Soul (both from Overdose Music Group), they hustle together as Pool Cleaners in the video for their single, “Coloured Girls (Get It Here)“! Directed by Dominic Koo and Stephen Hadeed Jr. for Hundred Eye Films, the duo try to mix business with pleasure as their client is quite a looker (played by ArtGod Lii). Dropping lyrics in hopes of getting the young lady’s attention, you’ll have to watch to see if one will be lucky enough to win her time. It’s all about the ladies from the Motherland in this one as Singer/Producer Roe Summerz teams up with “Da Big Voice” Edley Shine in “African Girls (Ethiopian Girls)“! Directed by Devin Johnson, we find the duo taking it to the club as they party and get to know some lovely ladies. Roe Summerz delivers the vocals for the beauties, while Edley deejays his way to their hearts. The track is a Shinealous Records release, and is expected to add extra heat this Summer! Edley Shine is of the Born JAmericans and RefixKingz fame, and has been dropping singles over the year through his US based Shinealous Records while Roe Summerz has been producing and collaborating with the likes of GiRL (“High”), and Maticulus Auburn (“All For You”). During his recent travels, the “Unruly Boss” Popcaan stopped by the Noisey offices to be a part of the “The People Vs” series. Here, Popcaan reads comments off Youtube for his 2015 Music Video for “Love Yuh Bad“. From the good to weird, Popcaan handles as many comments as he can from viewers worldwide. “Love Yuh Bad” was featured on Popcaan’s debut album, “Where We Come From“, and was sampled on Drake’s “Views” album. For those in the UK, you can catch Poppy performing alongside Stefflon Don, and D Double E. Popcaan is also busy working on new music, and maybe a follow up to his debut album. Media Personality/Chef Anthony Bourdain has seen many countries in his lifetime. With his various Television shows he has not only enjoyed the food, but learned some of the culture from each country. In season 9 of his “Parts Unknown” series, he makes an appearance in Trinidad. From conversing about Steel Pan Music with Composer Lennox “Boogsie” Sharpe and Journalist Kim Johnson, to discussing Carnival with Choreographer La Shaun Prescott, to learning about the arrival of the East Indians through Indentured Servitude and race with former T&T Ambassador to China Chandradath Singh, Producer Keshav (his son), and their family, to learning about the Lebanese and Syrians in Bayshore, the episode comes to a close with meeting Recording Artist Muhammad Muwakil of the Freetown Collective, Calypso Legend Calypso Rose, and many more!
