Vybz Kartel Wants Better For The Ghetto Yutes On “It Hard”!

Vybz Kartel continues to feed the streets with his signature sound, lyrics that connect with the listener instantly, and a presence that is still felt despite being incarcerated. Kartel still rules with songs for the Women, party tunes, and the occasional gun lyrics, but when he gets into some consciousness, it’s a different experience. He taps into that side with the single, “It Hard“.

On a beat produced by his son Aiko Pon Di Beat, Vybz Kartel wants better for the ghetto yutes, and those who are living in the struggle. Life can be rough and times are hard, but it will get better somehow. Vybz gets melodic on this one, and he takes on the roles of a comforter, and motivator. He shares what many are experiencing, and he can relate to it because he has been there. Still connecting with the people behind bars, here’s to more music from him.

It’s another Oldies Sunday, where we highlight a few classics, and old school songs you’ve never heard before. For today’s selection, we fly over to San Diego, California to check out Reggae Band Big Mountain’sBaby I Love Your Way“.

Produced by Ron Fair, this was released in 1994 through Giant/RCA. Big Mountain’s “Baby I Love Your Way” was a remake of the Peter Frampton’s 1975 single. The remake had a Reggae vibe, which contrasted from the original’s Soft Rock sound. Big Mountain’s version enjoyed chart success peaking at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, #2 on the UK Singles Chart, and #1 in Denmark, Spain, and Sweden. The track was included in the soundtrack for the 1994 Rom-Com, “Reality Bites“, and went on to go Platinum in Australia, Silver in the UK, and Gold in the US. The track was featured in Big Mountain’s 3rd album, “Unity“, and remains one of their biggest songs. They also performed the song at Reggae Sunsplash, as they were booked in 1994, and 1995.

Since the release of “Baby I Love Your Way”, Big Mountain went on to release more singles and albums, and continues to remain active performers taking their music to various parts of the world.

Silk Boss "Sorry" on 13thStreetPromotions.com #Jamaica #Dancehall #Music #13thStreetPromotions #SilkBoss #SilkBossOfficial #Sorry #MusicVideo #Caribbean

Silk Boss Deals With Betrayal On “Sorry”!

Dancehall Artist Silk Boss has been a topic of interest for the past few weeks in the Media, unfortunately, they were for the wrong reasons. Despite having a respectable run of singles that have been doing well in the streams and on Youtube, his name has been through a few episodes of conflict. Whether being a part of a beef, or having his girlfriend Brii become a target of disses, to being a victim of assault that went viral just a few days ago, it has been a rough time despite the success. Through it all, Silk Boss continues to make good music, and he tries to find some peace in the video for the new single, “Sorry“.

Directed by Dark Moon Cinema, Silk Boss finds himself in a dark place where he can be away from all the things and people who wish him harm. He has experienced betrayal recently, and he shares some of the pain that he has been feeling over an Ice Queen Records production. While his Mother would encourage him to seek God for some peace, he is unable to attain it through that suggestion, and finds a corner to tackle it all himself. The video shows that Silk Boss knows how to create through his pitfalls, and his fanbase has been supporting him through everything. It has been a rocky road, but Silk Boss will prevail. Sorry to his Mom though.
