Considered an Anomaly to many, but he’s wearing many hats lately and making a lot of noise in the Dancehall scene. Tonight on Onstage, Chi Ching Ching spoke about the moves he’s making in his career and more. Here he spoke about his slang creations and them becoming the base for many singles, his part in the remix of Lil Jon’s mega hit, “Turn Down For What?” and working with him, touring, and future projects. He also showed a clip of the video that caught Lil Jon’s attention. Chi Ching Ching has also made some really catchy slangs over the years and that won’t stop for many years to come. Today’s new music comes from the “World Boss“, Vybz Kartel and Singer Toian joins him. Titled “Ice Queen” and produced by TJ Records, they both take the R&B route here as they talk about infidelity and what they’ve done to each other. Interesting track here, it’s still crazy how many tracks have been released this year from Vybz Kartel and with Toian burning up the airwaves with “Rude Boys“, this single can go pretty far. It’s only right that Elephant Man did this. With Bobby Shmurda’s track and dance spreading like wildfire, Elephant Man added a new song and now a music video for the “Shmoney Dance“. Directed by MainE Fetti, Elephant Man teamed up with Bobby Shmurda and his crew in Brooklyn as they danced and built a vibe in the neighbourhood. The “Energy God” is one of the few Dancehall acts that can create a new dance or add a song to a popular dance and turn it into a hit. I can picture Ele having the the audience in a frenzy when he performs this at his next show and even throw on a Ska song to further enhance it. After teaming up some time ago, one of Hip Hop’s greatest Rappers, LL Cool J and the Gully God, Mavado drop the visual to “The Hustler“. Directed by Benny Boom and shot in New York, we hear the artists speak on the street life while we witness see some of the activities that happen in the New York streets. While some may see it as an odd combination, I like that Mavado got a chance to work with one of Hip Hop’s elite artists. LL Cool J’s new album will hit the streets very soon. Fresh off some gigs overseas, Kabaka Pyramid has come a long way and captured many with the good music he creates. Tonight on Onstage he had a conversation with Winford Williams. Here he spoke on his background, his experiences travelling and performing overseas, being a part of the new Reggae movement, fighting the good fight, and his upcoming performance at Usain Bolt’s Tracks & Records. One thing with Kabaka, interview or no interview, you can have great conversations with him. One of the artists I respect, I hope many get to attend the upcoming event.
