We’re at episode 5 of our “13th Street Quarantine Sessions“, and we’re very grateful for getting this far. We thank everyone for all the love given so far, and we look forward to bigger and better. Tonight, Montego Bay Artist Kali Grn steps up during the pandemic to give us a lil taste of his new single, “Ready Now“! An Artist who has been making moves for quite some time, he’s focused, and is ready for the big leagues. Watch out for Kali Grn!

May 6th marks the birthday of Jamaican Recording Artist/Creative Director/Jill Of All Trades LatyKim! Not letting the current crisis dampen her day, she kicks it off in fine style with the release of her 2nd single, “Gi State“!

Teaming up with Dale “Dizzle” Virgo and DZL Records, the young lyricist spits flame emojis and shows off veteran level flows as she continues to surprise listeners since officially debuting as an artist in 2018. From freestyle battling on various platforms, to making appearances on tracks by Kenzic and PseudoKhule, we let you in on her being one of the ladies you need to keep on your radar. Were we wrong? LatyKim stays her in gi state, and will be dominating the scene soon. She lives by her mantra, Live As Though You Know It’s Meaningful, so stay tuned for her next act.

Toronto Producer DJ Blkluos wasted no time during this as he teamed up with Toronto acts 333 Zilla and MDRandle for the “Isolation EP“. with 4 tracks loaded, we get a dose of fresh sample-filled production from Blkluos that backs the tag team of Hip Hop and R&B vibes from 333 Zilla and MDRandle here. Together, the trio produce some great music, and may catch you off guard at how well they work together. The quarantine may bring on a lot of stress and pressure, but it produced lots of jewels from these 3 creatives.

Producer Kris Karz has been enjoying the love since the release of his single, the Timothy David featured “LUST“. With his “Portraits” project getting its finishing touches, he continues the rollout with the visual for the single. Flexing his directorial skills and editing assistance from D.L. Samuels, we get a lyric video backed some beautiful shots of him and the video’s lady interest, Joelle Gallimore. Shot in Ocho Rios, the scenes do add some bulk to the song’s smooth delivery and lyrics. While the video may have many missing “Outside“, let it hold you over until the pandemic (hopefully) dies down soon. Stay tuned for more from Kris Karz!

The track finds them each sharing their backgrounds on their love for Hip Hop Music, and the various steps they’ve taken in their pursuits as Recording Artists. Whether they faced challenges or dealt with the life outside the booth, the energy was transferred to their respective creations to bring together a dope track to keep on repeat.
