Next to step out of the “First Coast” today is Gully Ca$h with his full length project titled “TrillInAYaad“. The title means “To be true to yourself, no matter which country you call home“. Featuring 11 tracks showcasing the street life, the celebrations of life, and thug motivation, Gully aims to have ears listening and supporting the movement no matter where they are. Gully Ca$h made sure to share the platform with fellow “First Coast” artists Lano Di Rulah, Stratdon, Ukasion and feature production from the likes of SOS Dynamikz. From the crazy mind of Actress/Singer/Model/Comedian Toni Blair comes the “Move Your Feet” video. Shot in Kingston by Lance Brown and Damien Baddy, we see Toni donned in a pink bathing suit, roller blades, headphones and blue hair putting on the moves to Junior Senior’s hit song “Move Your Feet“. This is something only Toni can pull off and make it a success! Love this video as it encourages viewers to also move their feet and catch some of the special areas in Kingston. Titled “Real Born Stunna“, and directed by RD Studios, we see A-Game cruising in St. Vincent with the SubKonshus crew as the location was a part of their tour stops. A-Game has been busy promoting his “A-Game Everyday” mixtape (available here) and touring so it was only right that he dropped a video and give a glimpse of his touring life. With a career spanning over 15 years, T.O.K. is Jamaica’s first Dancehall Quartet and with a new EP, they visited Winford Williams to discuss a few matters. Here they spoke on maintaining the friendships and careers for so long, their almost break up, their side ventures, touring, their “Taking Over” EP and Reality Show, and upcoming performances. Not a bad interview here, I’m impressed that despite the breakups of many crews and friendships in Dancehall music, they’ve managed to hold it together throughout all this time. After having a monster hit in 2003 with “Turn Me On“, St. Vincent native Kevin Lyttle has managed to have a good music career but tonight he spoke with Winford Williams about his life since that song. Here he spoke about his relationship with Atlantic Records, his hit single and album including the success from them, losing his mother, maintaining his music career despite not having a bigger hit than “Turn Me On“, his start in the music business, endorsement deals, his single with Shaggy (Feel So Good), and more. Good to see Kevin still doing things for himself since that hit. While many may call him a “One Hit Wonder“, he managed to make that success stretch.
