Since the late 2010s, Recording Artist Blvk H3ro has been putting in the work to become one of the standout acts in the “Future Reggae” lane. With many years now behind him, he has secured record deals, growth in his fanbase, high profile collaborations and cosigns, consistent bookings, crossing over to the International market, and even earned a GRAMMY nomination. He isn’t slowing down however, and recently he made his debut as a Producer on the single, “Victory“.

“Victory” is a collaboration between Reggae Icons Sizzla Kalonji, and Anthony B. Blvk H3ro’s Producer debut was done with Island Vibe Agency, and the track finds the Reggae acts praising Jah, providing words of motivation for the people, calling for an end to corruption, and encouraging many to be more in tune with the Creator. Sizzla and Anthony B always make for a good collab, and Blvk H3ro scored a solid first release as he provided the sound for two Artists who he considers his musical inspirations. For those who didn’t know, Anthony B previously worked with H3ro on the “On A Mission” album. H3ro is also working on a new album, with a possible release this year, so stay tuned.

Life has made a few new turns for Recording Artist Blvk H3ro. From being an Artist on the rise since the late 2010s, to steadily becoming a favourite in various parts of the world, he can say he couldn’t predict the future, but he was prepared for it. He’s now a GRAMMY-nominated act with a couple hits under his belt, and a name to know thanks to his performances in parts of North America and Europe. He’s ready for the next level with his new album, “On A Mission“.

Featuring 15 tracks, “On A Mission” is a body of work from an Artist with a new vision. It Blvk H3ro’s debut project with the major label Delicious Vinyl Island, and the follow up to his 2018 “The Immortal Steppa” with Dubshot Records, which was widely received. The new album features the 2021 hit single “It Nuh Easy“, previously released singles, and new collaborations with a few notable names. Production on the album include the likes of Bob Riddim, Princeton Brown, Shane Creative, and Koastal Kings, while Soko7, Blaq Pages, Anthony B, Teejay, Skillibeng, Winky D, and Kojo Funds are just some of the collaborators.

Some of us have seen Blvk H3ro’s rise to stardom early, it’s time the rest of the world gets familiar. He has a plan, and he won’t stop till it’s accomplished.

Oakland, California-based Recording Artist/Educator/Activist Ras Ceylon continues his mission of providing words of motivation, consciousness, and positivity through his various musical releases. He is regarded as the first Sri Lankan Hip Hop Artist to release an album, and for over 20 years has united the people from all walks of life with his content. The journey continues for him with the release of “Check Yourself“.

“Check Yourself” was produced by DJ Dixon and it features one of Reggae’s prominent names, Anthony B. Together, they seek to uplift the people, and send encouraging words of a healthy mind, body, and spirit. In a world that can corrupt the best of people, it is important to maintain good health to overcome what can bring you down. A creation by two longtime friends, this marks as their first release together, and is expected to make an impact this summer with its Afrotrap sounds permeating through speakers and social circles. While your favourite Artist may be using Reggae/Dancehall creatively (or stupidly) in Jamaica, the influence of the Music Culture continues to affect many others worldwide. One person in particular is Taru Dalmia a.k.a. “Delhi Sultanate” of New Delhi, India, as he uses not only Reggae, but the Sound System Culture to channel his Political Activism. While India is under the rule of the Hindu Nationalist Government lead by Narendra Modi (Bharatiya Janata Party), Taru alleges that free speech is being threatened under his rule, and using his talents will assist the many protests that are being held in many Universities across the nation. Armed with classic singles, and Dub Plates from the likes of Toots Hibbert, Barrington Levy, and Anthony B, he hopes that his assistance in the fight will not be in vain.

Taru is also a member of The Ska Vengers, a live Band that blends Dub, Pop, Ska, Jazz, Rap, and Punk to deliver a new sound. Below is a clip from the Al Jazeera Network where we look into Taru’s journey, and the challenges he has faced so far. We also feature some of the singles that could spark protests, and some that speak against the Jamaican Government.
