QQ

As a featured performer on the upcoming “On The Reggae Tip” concert in New York, Dancehall artist QQ made a stop at Hot 97’s Ebro In The AM to discuss a few things. Here he spoke a little on his background, his popularity in Jamaica, his hit songs “Stukie” and “One Drop” and the stories behind them. Short but a good interview here. Interesting to hear how “Stukie” was created and how far his hit songs went. Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

NEW MUSIC: @LucasDiPasquale – Make My Rounds

artworks-000089145541-l2igqy-t500x500

Today’s new music comes from Canadian singer Lucas DiPasquale. You may remember him from gaining quite a following for covering a few of Deejay Popcaan’s singles. Here he steps out with “Make My Rounds“. Produced by Mini of E5 Records on the “Beach Life Riddim“, Lucas speaks on leaving Canada to visit Jamaica and the things he’s dealing with back home, mainly being apart from his lady. He also tells his lady that all the moves he’s making will pay off in the end, and he lets listeners know that his cover video that made him popular is getting old and he needs to bring new things to the table. Not a bad effort here from the singer, I’d like to hear this live very soon. Check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

NEW VIDEO: @OnstageTV Interviews @AgentSasco

AS

With a few years cemented in his musical career, Agent Sasco has managed to keep himself and his music consistent. With a potent flow and lyrics that command respect, he has touched on serious issues and has also managed to keep his audience moving. Tonight on Onstage he had a chat with Winford Williams to discuss his career and more. He spoke about his recent performances at Reggae Sumfest and Dream Weekend, exercising and developing his career, his work on Kanye West’s “Yeezus” album and how it came about, his new project and going back to the fundamentals of Dancehall, not following certain trends, remaining true to himself and more. He also premiered the music video for “Settle and Cease“. Sasco has been one of the artists whose career I’ve respected over the years and to me he can do no wrong.
