DJ/Producer Calvin Harris is readying the release of the follow up to his successful “Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1“! This new project promises to bring even more hits for you to groove to. Setting off the roll out with him is PARTYNEXTDOOR with the single, “Nuh Ready Nuh Ready“. Featuring PARTY channeling some of his Jamaican side, he breaks out the patois while dishing lyrics about not settling down, not being ready to have a family, and enjoying the offerings from the bachelor life. Shabba Ranks Sampled Track Featured In Awkward New @DietCoke Commercial

It’s that time again (for those who watch it), for the NFL Super Bowl! In it’s 52nd presentation, fans witness the duel between the New England Patriots, and the Philadelphia Eagles. There are also those who tune in for the moneymaker, the Commercials! One Commercial that popped up was an awkward one by Beverage giant Coca Cola as they presented their latest flavours in their Diet Coke line. Featuring the Mango flavour, ears perked up as a familiar voice was heard in the ad’s music, Dancehall legend Shabba Ranks! The Deejay appears as a sample from Scottish DJ/Producer Sam Gellaitry’s 2015 single, “Long Distance“. The track is featured on the DJ’s debut project, “Escapism” and samples Shabba Ranks’ vocals from his 1988 single “Telephone Love Deh Pon Mi Mind“, a remix to Singer JC Lodge’s hugely popular “Telephone Love“. While the Commercial was not the greatest way to promote a drink, we enjoyed the music. Check out the Commercial below!

DJ Dar Pays Tribute To Akae Beka In Vol. 2 Of His “Roots & Dub” Series!

It’s Friday, and it’s that time to roll up some green, and blaze it to some good tunes! DJ Dar wants to assist with the musical selections today with the release of his latest Mixtape, “Roots & Dub Vol. 2“! Giving listeners a dose of audio for that meditation and medication session, Dar pays tribute to US Virgin Islands Reggae Artist, Akae Beka. Throughout the hour long mix he also spins tunes from Jahdan Blakkamoore, Pressure Busspipe, and Lutan Fyah. For those who need a proper hit of consciousness while steaming the herbs, you can’t go wrong with “Roots & Dub”! Be sure to look out for the DJ as he readies a weekly series where he spins nothing but the best tunes, all while throwing in some of his work as the Artist known as “Da Supreme“. The Major Lazer sound continues to reach the heart and soul of many! With their EP “Know No Better” still making its round, and before they embark on touching down in Jamaica later this month, they release the visual for the Sean Paul and J Balvin assisted “Buscando Huellas“! The video was directed by Juan Pablo Valencia, and features only Jillionaire, J Balvin, and some unique Dancers having a small dance off inside an abandoned building. With the song’s blend of Reggaeton, Dancehall, EDM, it calls for the Dance groups to perform coordinated moves to this one. Would’ve been cool if Sean Paul was present for this, but he was probably on tour with Chi Ching Ching. Time to bust a move, watch the video below!

International DJ Steve Aoki’s creative process is on god level. With his “Kolony” project, he has been reaching out to other creatives who can help to chef up a masterpiece. Today, he joins DJ/Production Collective Bad Royale and Trini Recording Artist Jimmy October on “No Time“. In the video you can see Aoki whipping it like mad Chemist while Jimmy plays the role of Kronos (the Greek god of time), and Bad Royale all black cloaked out ready to perform a ritual.
