With Jamaica bringing genres like Reggae, Dancehall, Dub, Ska, and many others to the world, it’s no surprise when we tackle other genres and today a Band named “SkaiBrid” (Sky-Brid) graces this blog. This 3 member Band consisting of Brendon Wesley, Rajiv Manderson, and Reece Chen, tackle Blues and Rock music (named Blues Rock), and Alternative with their EP, “Dirty Glass“. This 4 track project (5 on the Deluxe version) features a blend of instruments,  far from generic lyrics, and a groove that’ll have you adding this to your “Must repeat” list. For new listeners and those unfamiliar with Blues music, this will be something you’ve never heard before, and something you may just like! Mixtape Movement: The @PushAYute Presents EP

The good folks over at P.A.Y. Productions have been cooking up lots of good music over the years, and recently they’ve released an EP featuring some of their latest work. The “Push A Yute Presents” EP is a 5 track compilation featuring high energy contributions from Supa Hype, Mr Lexx, Wasp, Redd Man UK, Ice Cold, Munga, and Bastic. A good listen for the party fans, an introduction to new acts for some or a reintroduction for others, and a good lineup over some quality P.A.Y. Productions. Finally premiering the visual to his biggest hit this year is Christopher Martin with “I’m A Big Deal“. Directed by RD Studios and featuring cameos by the likes of Comedians Prince Pine and Fat Skull, Reggae Artist Keznamdi, and Footballers Ian Goodison and Ricardo Gardner, we see Prince Pine and his friends abandoning a faulty car and upon their journey ending up crashing Christopher’s Pool Party. With scenes of bike riding, having fun in the pool and dancing, this is the perfect video for the summer. Mixtape Movements: @RealiOctane Presents: The Crop Over EP

With chart topping hits in Reggae and Dancehall, I-Octane felt it was only right to try out other genres. In his latest project, Octane hails the Island of Barbados with “The Crop Over EP“. One love is a message, and a call for people to live in unity, peace and love. Today’s new music comes from Recording artist, Keida. Titled “One Love” and produced by Anju Blaxx, Keida spreads the message of “One Love” to all, and makes an observation on what people are going through in the world. Keida says all we need is love and it can surely make things better and help to overcome the bad times.
