VYBZKARTEL-RIGHTWINEtjrecords

Today’s new music comes from the currently incarcerated World Boss, Vybz Kartel. Titled “Right Wine” and produced by TJ Records, this is one of Kartel’s girl tunes where he encourages the ladies to keep dancing and keep him excited. Nice upbeat rhythm and it’s a summer song which should be very popular at upcoming parties. Ladies get your short shorts ready and dance for the World Boss. The new Kartel songs just keep coming out of the woodwork. What do you think? Check out the song below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

gazaslim

On today’s episode of Noisey Jamaica Dancehall Show Gaza Slim is the featured artist. We see Codine Williams, Slim and crew situated at a courthouse in Kingston where Vybz Kartel attended a court date. Here Gaza Slim told Codine about her start in the music business, meeting Vybz Kartel, his incarceration, members of the Portmore Empire, her “Addi” tattoo, and other things. They also visited the West Bank community in Portmore and spoke to a few of Kartel’s fans and learned of the impact Kartel has on the community. Even though it’s a Gaza Slim episode, it felt like more of a Vybz Kartel episode. Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

NEW MUSIC: @RealGyptian x @XycloneRedSQ – Free

One world, one people…” are the first few words you hear out of the new single from Gyptian and Xyclone. Titled “Free” and distributed through RSQTHP Music Group, both artistes display enjoying their freedom whilst demanding the freedom of fellow peers. Not a bad riddim, a bit of autotune, but sounds incomplete on the mixing part. Nonetheless it’s still a good song and good to hear Gyptian on new releases too. As a part of Survivor Slim’sJerusalem” compilation album, listen and download the song below and share your feedback in the comments section.
