Jamaica’s music culture boasts with a great abundance of talent. No matter the field, Creatives cover every sector and have no problem showcasing their work. While showcasing talented folks is nothing new on 13th Street Promotions, today we’d like to highlight a Jamaican Producer who steadily hones his craft. Though he hails from Portmore, Jahbariii currently resides in the US and blends Jamaican influences in his sound along with Hip Hop. What caught our attention, was his knack for recreating popular beats and coming up with some unique productions from sometimes odd places. If you’re a Hip Hop head, then you’re familiar with Chicago Rapper Lupe Fiasco. He has collaborated with the likes of Kanye West and Jay Z, and gave us hits like “Superstar“, “Kick, Push“, and “The Show Goes On“. Recently, he released his 7th studio album, “DROGAS WAVE” with enough bars to keep fans happy till the next project. What made this project more interesting, is Lupe tapping into some Jamaican influences here. On “Gold vs the Right Things to do“, he utilizes patois throughout, and although it may make some of us cringe, he drops some serious lines in this one to make up for it (he did a better job than these Actors in this article). On “Kingdom” he teams up with another potent lyricist, Damian “Junior Gong” Marley as they unleash more consciousness into the world. For those familiar with Lupe, this project is a great listen and has garnered positive reviews so far. If you’re new here and into lyrics, you can’t go wrong with Lupe. Teaming up with Recording Artist Kev Cameron, they’re all about the “New Money” on their new single. Produced by Konsequence Muzik, the Artists take turns letting listeners know how they’re living, and the new dinero is opening more doors for them in life.
