The new era of Hip Hop has touched the Island of Jamaica, and has since produced a wave of new acts. While there are those who are heavily influenced by the 90’s and Underground movements, the new wave are influenced by the “Trap Music” culture. One of those acts who has started to make some noise in recent times is Gotti OG. A member of Jamaican Creative Deth’s (a.k.a. ShotByDeth) “FOREVER” Label (More on that later), he kicks off the month of October with “WockStar“! Produced by Cloud Beats, Gotti speaks on the life of a RockStar complete with beautiful ladies at his reach, acquiring designer gear, and making his presence felt everywhere with his crew. With the chorus fitting with the Production, listeners will be chanting while rocking to the beat. For those who need that pick me up, give this one a slot on your playlist. “Nothing Else Matters”, The Council Finally Release Their Debut Album!

After many delays and a few singles, Jamaican Rap Super Group The Council finally released their debut Album, “Nothing Else Matters“. Featuring 16 tracks, the Rappers Five Steez, The Sickest Drama, Nomad Carlos, and Inztinkz promises that Jamaican Hip Hop and the “First Coast Movement” will be on another level with this project. From songs featuring Social Commentary, reminiscing on the “Golden Era”, everyday struggle, to just flexing their lyrical abilities, NEM has something for those who need an escape from the “Mumble Rap” and want to hear “Real Rap“. The Album also features verses from Kabaka Pyramid, Koro Fyah, Massy The Creator, Tha God Fahim, Illicit King, Triple Tr8, J Militia, and Beast while Inztinkz guides them all with some amazing Production. With years in the making, NEM will not disappoint, and should be a nice addition to your collection. Presentation is also a premium experience with Black and Gold giving it a royal look to fit the tone of the Album. Art Direction by Jome Anderson (Scotty Dreamz) and Warren Buckle. Rapper @MoulaUE Makes His Return With The “All U Go Get Until…” EP!

Montego Bay based Rapper MoulaUE has been staying busy these past few months. Since the release of his 2016 effort, “Know My Intentions“, he has made appearances on various projects with a verse or few. Today, the “Mobay Kingpin” makes his return with a new project titled “All U Go Get Until…” to shake up a few playlists. With 5 tracks in, and featuring Production from Thomas Craiger, JuloOnTheTrack, 1694, Dre Minor and Ty Rose, Moula’s ready to make you a believer that Hip Hop is very much alive in the 2nd City. With contributions from his KMT brethren Karma Crew and Daley, Rapper Yung Asura and Recording Artist Minx, this is something to roll up one with and hold a vibe. Upcoming Producer Signature Takes You On “The Journey” With Debut Beat Tape!

There are Producers who can craft Riddims on the fly, there are Producers who can provide the Soundtrack to your thoughts and lyrics, and there are those who can tell a story. UK based Signature is an upcoming Producer who has a story to tell, and he does so on his debut Beat Tape! Titled “The Journey“, this 10 track project is a result of taking a hiatus from the online world to further develop his skills. Featuring various clips where he’s being Interviewed, he speaks on his aspirations, his inspirations, and the process behind the making of his Tape. The project also features collaborations with Producers SOS Dynamikz, Universal ZincFence, SkyRas, and Kvdence who all bring together their sounds to create that “Audio Dope“! It’s that time again for some new music fresh outta Montego Bay! Next up is the “Mobay Kingpin“, MoulaUE a.k.a. Moula Di Don! With a new project on the way, he starts off the week with “Big League“! Produced by Thomas Craiger, Moula talks that talk with a presence like a Mob Boss over a dark Production. Featuring Karma Crew and Daley who kick off lyrics like Snipers on a big payroll, this should hold you over as Moula makes his return. For those familiar with the trio, they’re also known as “KMT” so consider this a little reunion.
