Armed with unique vocals and a style that keeps you paying attention, Lila has become a sensation, with many already hailing her as a young legend. Her journey may not have been smooth, but she has put a lot of work in to get to where she is now. With a strong catalogue, she fortifies it even more with the release of her debut album, “Treasure Self Love“.

Featuring 11 tracks, Lila Ike presents herself like never before with the release of, “Treasure Self Love”. Like her previous releases, she sheds light on her life, her experiences, musical influences including Garnet Silk and Lady Patra, promotes love, and sets the tone for an expansion of her artistry. She delivers for the people who love music, inviting newcomers to experience what many have been tuned in to. Production on “Treasure Self Love” includes the likes of Ziah.Push, Tim Suby, New Machine, Juls, Dunw3ll, Cadenza, and Winta James, while Protoje, Joey Bada$$, Masicka, H.E.R., and Maverick Sabre join her on a few tracks. “Wurl Lila” has come a long way, and has many more road to trek. Her debut album is just a taste of the new lane she will be pursuing.

2024 was a year, and it’s almost over. However, we can’t let it go without recognizing those who took big steps this year for their creativity and brand. There were more viral moments, and some controversial moments, but we expect even more for 2025. For the 2nd year in a row, we want to recognize the work of the Director (who can’t do it without a great team), and show love to a few of Our Favourite Music Videos Of 2024 in words, and with a few Posters made by our 13th Street Visuals platform. Remember growing up on Disney cartoons? Well, for Rajahwild’s “Trophy Front“, the timeless “The Beauty & The Beast” was the inspiration for his Music Video. While members of the public interpreted this as Rajahwild endorsing Satan with his makeup, others saw through the controversial takes, and saw a beautiful Woman being captivated by the beastly character. Ruppi of Now Or Never handled the direction for this one.

This Friday’s looking like it’s a day for lovers, as there have been a number of selections that promote couples enjoying some quality time. Recording Artist Lila Ike is next up with some new music, and you’re gonna be in for a treat. Earlier, she premiered the visual for the new single, “Fry Plantain“.

Directed by DJuvii, Lila Ike links up with Rapper/Actor Joey BadA$$ on “Fry Plantain”. The visual promotes that bond couples have, and throughout we see the onscreen lovers connect in a number of ways from breakfast at the Cottage, to hitting the road, to calling it an evening and night at the River and beach respectively. Produced by Protoje and D.K. the Punisher, “Fry Plantain” is a single that finds the Artists flirting throughout, painting the pictures of creating love bonds, capturing moments together, spending quality time together, and making the right moves for their future. BadA$$ previously made an appearance in Lila and Recording Artist H.E.R.’s video for their “He Loves Us Both” collab as their love interest, and we jokingly say Lila won him over here. Another big collaboration, and another love song to add to your collection.

If you’re from the Caribbean, raise those flags up and rep your Island! If you’re born to Immigrant parents, raise those flags as well! Celebrating their Caribbean heritage today are Pro Era Rappers CJ Fly and Joey Bada$$ on “Rudebwoy“!

With the video directed by David Janoff, it was shot in Flatbush, Brooklyn and at the infamous Miss Lilly’s West Indian Restaurant. With flags waving, and Caribbean vibes flowing throughout the video, CJ Fly and Joey Bada$$ tackle the Statik Selektah production to show off their “Rudebwoy” styles, and show love to Islands that influenced their lives so much (CJ shares a Bajan/Jamaican background, while Joey shares a St. Lucian/Jamaican background).

While CJ Fly has been busy recording for himself and his BEASTCOAST crew, he’s also looking to release a full length “Rudebwoy” project soon. Joey Bada$$ on the other hand has been finding himself in campaigns for Paco Rabanne, and is currently working on new music. Check out the video below, and share with a friend. As Chronixx continues to carry his thought provoking songs throughout the world, he premieres his visual for “Capture Land“. Directed by Jerome D and shot in Jamaica, we see the artist trodding through eye catching locations as he speaks on the popular areas in Jamaica and the rest of the world that were captured properties and states that “Rasta nuh live pon capture land“. Teaming up with clothing brand LRG, we see the “Dread and Terrible” artist also rocking some of their gear. If you haven’t heard his “Dread and Terrible” project yet, check it out here and look out for his contribution on Rapper Joey BadA$$’ upcoming “B4.d.A$$” album.
