Protoje is at it again. For over a decade, the Artist has been providing music that connects with the listener in various ways, and has built a movement that has been growing rapidly around the world. Fresh off of his massive staging of the “Lost In Time Festival“, Protoje releases, “Legend Legend“.

Produced by The FaNaTiX, Protoje solidifies his position as an Icon in “Legend Legend”. The track is a testament of the impact he has had in his music career, and we are aware of the work it took to get there. The song also recognizes another legend, Bob Marley. Even after his death in 1981, Marley is a global Icon, and the recent release of the “Bob Marley: One Love” Film is evidence that the Gong is generational. Fun Fact: Protoje name dropped Bob Marley albums throughout “Legend Legend”. Accompanying the single, is a Music Video directed by Samo, and it finds Protoje in his element, and shares highlights of what happened at the 2023 staging of the “Lost In Time Festival”. Recently, Recording Artist Jahmiel released his latest album, “Legend“. With talent that considers him one of the greats, Jahmiel has traveled a lot to get this far. While has made some changes in his life for the better, he still has challenges to deal with everyday. Off of his latest album, he gives us the visual for the track, “Story Of My Life“.

Directed by Xtreme Arts, Jahmiel takes to the hills, and talks to God and the people. “Story Of My Life” is one of the more popular tracks off the album, and Jahmiel does it justice with the visual. “Story Of My Life” was produced by Emudio Records/Sweet Music Production. Expect to hear a lot more from the great Jahmiel in the coming weeks, and check out his “Legend” album which is available everywhere you consume music.

We salute the “Stage Show Boss” in this post. As the saying goes, “Give people Flowers while they can still smell them”. Big up Spice!

The Throne for the Dancehall Queen is currently vacant, and there could only be one who ascends to claim her rightful place at the top of Dancehall. The genre is now in the Era of “The Spicy 1“, and though her given name is Grace Latoya Hamilton, we know her as Spice! Never been far from the spotlight, Spice proved time and time again that she’s in a lane of her own with no contenders. From acting, to singing, deejaying, to dancing, she’s multifaceted and continues to have an edge among her peers.

Since her debut, Spice has always been one to push boundaries in Dancehall as a Female Artist. She will always be known for being different whether it be for the colour of her hair, her unique outfits, or her many stand out singles. Among her Dancehall peers, she has never been afraid to outperform them, whether male or female. Her various Clash appearances, “War” records and counteractions are proof of this. Bounty Killer, one of her earliest mentors, hailed her as one of the “Baddest” acts before she even scored her first hit.

Today’s Oldies Sunday pays respect to one of Jamaica’s greatest Vocalists, the one they called the “Jamaican Stevie Wonder“, the late Frankie “Dancehall” Paul. The Singer recently passed away after battling a long ailment, and the news sent shock waves all over the world. Having been born blind, Frankie showed many that you can still be great no matter your circumstance. Possessing a love for singing, he impressed Recording Artist Stevie Wonder during a visit to his school in Jamaica, and was inspired to pursue a Music career. Releasing multiple singles and Albums over the years, Frankie went on to be an influence for many of the Dancehall/Reggae Vocalists that followed. Having worked with almost every Producer and Record Label in Jamaica, Frankie Paul was a household name and ultimately a Legend.

As a part of keeping his spirit alive, we present to you “Sara”, his 1987 hit which was a cover of US Rock Band Starship’s single. The track was produced by King Jammy for his Jammys Label and was a part of Paul’s 1987 “Live And Love” Album.
