NEW MUSIC: @MyFabolousLife x @RichHomieQuan x @KonshensSojah – Vanilla

Earlier today, U.S. Rapper Fabolous premiered his Thanksgiving Mixtape, “Summertime Shootout“. Produced by Sonaro, this features Rapper Rich Homie Quan and listeners were treated to a back and forth between both artists. What listeners didn’t expect though was a closing display of deejaying from Dancehall Artist Konshens. Over the Hot Wax Riddim from the 90s (big up Franz for the reminder), Konshens left a memorable mark on track 7. A bit disappointed that he wasn’t credited on the tape. Fabolous’ Mixtape is now available on Datpiff but you can check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

1. 80s Babies – DJ Richie Ras

This Mixtape was the perfect trip down memory lane for an 80s baby like me. It brought me back to the good old days of listening to Notorious B.I.G., Tupac, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg while driving around Kingston with my Uncle.

2. 2016 Soca Teaser – Shane Talon

Carnival 2016 is well on the horizon so you know that means loads of new Soca hits to usher any Socaphile into the season. Shane Talon is another 13thStreetPromotions find and I think his mixes are simply superb. This one is no different.

Recently, the “Dancehall Mermaid“ Tifa stopped by the Nightly Fix studios to have a chat. Hosted by DJ Naro and Arianne, Tifa spoke about her “Stay Away” Mixtape and the inspiration behind it, wanting change in the Dancehall scene, rising above challenges, urging artists to get more music on the Billboard charts, and more. Tifa brought up some great points during her Interview and I do hope the artists that are listening take notes. Yuma Sweet Summer – DJ Charlotte

DJ Charlotte is one of Trinidad & Tobago’s hottest DJs. This release coincided with the 2016 YUMA Carnival Band launch for Trinidad Carnival and it is a sweet mix indeed. The perfect confectionary of Soca, Dancehall, Hip Hop and Top 40 hits. Released 2 Months ago on her Sound Cloud, it is a favourite for me!

Dance 101 Podcast Episode 1 – DJ Puffy

Those who know me well know that I love EDM as much as I love Soca and Dancehall! Barbados’ finest (To me definitely), DJ Puffy goes in hard with this EDM mix. I literally feel like I am at Tomorrowland or some other huge EDM festival just listening to this high energy mix.

Chromatic Way – DJ Heavy D & DJ Shantonio from Chromatic

Taking it back to yard (never stray far from my roots)this time around, this mixtape showcases the talents of 2 members of one of Jamaica’s hottest Sound Systems, Chromatic. This mix of some of the hottest Top 40, Hip Hop and Dancehall hits and numerous Dub samples is an eargasmic treat.
