This Mixtape was the perfect trip down memory lane for an 80s baby like me. It brought me back to the good old days of listening to Notorious B.I.G., Tupac, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg while driving around Kingston with my Uncle.

Carnival 2016 is well on the horizon so you know that means loads of new Soca hits to usher any Socaphile into the season. Shane Talon is another 13thStreetPromotions find and I think his mixes are simply superb. This one is no different.

NEW VIDEO: @NightlyFix Interviews @ItsTheTifa

Recently, the “Dancehall Mermaid“ Tifa stopped by the Nightly Fix studios to have a chat. Hosted by DJ Naro and Arianne, Tifa spoke about her “Stay Away” Mixtape and the inspiration behind it, wanting change in the Dancehall scene, rising above challenges, urging artists to get more music on the Billboard charts, and more. Tifa brought up some great points during her Interview and I do hope the artists that are listening take notes. The perfect confectionary of Soca, Dancehall, Hip Hop and Top 40 hits. Released 2 Months ago on her Sound Cloud, it is a favourite for me!

  1. Dance 101 Podcast Episode 1 – DJ Puffy

Those who know me well know that I love EDM as much as I love Soca and Dancehall! Barbados’ finest (To me definitely), DJ Puffy goes in hard with this EDM mix. I literally feel like I am at Tomorrowland or some other huge EDM festival just listening to this high energy mix.

Taking it back to yard (never stray far from my roots)this time around, this mixtape showcases the talents of 2 members of one of Jamaica’s hottest Sound Systems, Chromatic. This mix of some of the hottest Top 40, Hip Hop and Dancehall hits and numerous Dub samples is an eargasmic treat.

NEW VIDEO: @OnstageTV Interviews @ItsTheTifa

Tifa has made headlines recently with the release of her latest mixtape titled, “Stay Away“. Causing a wild fire, this was just the tip of the iceberg and on Onstage she reveals a bit. Here she gave details on the mixtape, some of the challenges she has faced which propelled her drive to make it, premiered her visual to “My Ratings“, and wanting respect in the Industry, upcoming performances and music. Good to see the influx of positive reviews for her work and we can expect much more from T-I-F-A for the rest of this year and 2016. NEW VIDEO: @ItsTheTifa – My Ratings

After premiering it on Onstage earlier, the “Dancehall Mermaid” Tifa unleashes “My Ratings” to the rest of the world! Taking the animated approach thanks to RD Studios, Tifa lets viewers know that when it comes to her man, she has it locked and when he’s in her embrace, he’ll never want to leave. She also states that any man she’s with shows her lots of ratings and she knows how to get the job done in taking care of him. With a wonderful array of animated visuals with lyrics to match, this is a very creative video from Tifa.
