Recording Artist Jahmiel has been very consistent with the tunes in recent times. With hits under his belt, he’s working his way to becoming the MVP for 2016. Today, he premiered his visual for the “Where Were You / Great Man“. Directed by Mamaz Boiz Films, this visual comes in the form of a short film featuring Jahmiel, his friends, and of course a “Bad mind Producer“. From a scenario where he was rejected by said Producer to performing on Onstage to being interviewed, Jahmiel visually tells his story of his rise to stardom. A good concept here and this is only the sample of the greatness that’s to come from Jahmiel. Look out for his upcoming project with Quantanium Records. In today’s world, it’s all about achieving success. Lia Caribe on the other hand states she has no time for anything but the paper in her visual for the ZionnoizFreeze Records produced track, “Dolla Billz“. Directed by Icey Jace with BakerSteez using his editing magic, Lia says love can’t pay her bills and she wants the money to get what she needs. Watch her wash them at the laundromat, stacking them with her money machine, and of course getting to the cheddar with her friends. A clean visual that focuses on the “Money on my mind” statement, Lia will have viewers chanting the chorus in no time. With singles that slowly crept to many playlists and mixes, he has gained respect from many in the Music fraternity and has become a fan favourite. With a few hits under his belt, he stopped by the Onstage set to reveal what else he has in store. Here the “Young Lion” spoke about his performance at Rebel Salute 2016 with Mavado, the success of his recent hits, touring including his UK Tour with Kranium, his upcoming project with Quantanium Records, and delivering positive music. Chip Off The Old Block: Meet The New Kids Of Dancehall x Reggae (Pt. 3)

First they started out as the youth of the Dancehall/Reggae culture, now they’re parents with growing kids. It isn’t unusual for the child of an Entertainer to follow in their parent’s footsteps one way or the other as at times they bring a modern take on their parent’s creations, or create their own lane. Some of the most famous off springs include Stephen, Ziggy, and Damian “Junior Gong” Marley (Sons of Bob Marley), Chino and Di Genius (Sons of Freddie McGregor), Junior Tucker (Son of Jimmy Tucker), Morgan Heritage (Children of Denroy Morgan), Tarrus Riley (Son of Jimmy Riley), Queen Ifrica (Daughter of Derrick Morgan), Protoje (Son of Lorna Bennett), Chronixx (Son of Chronicle) and many more. In part 3 of a few part series, I feature more of the new set of kids on the scene whose parents have covered much ground in their respective careers.
