NEW VIDEO: @EtanaStrongOne x @JoMersaMarley – Thy Will Be Done


EtantJoToday’s new video comes from the combination of Etana and Jo Mersa Marley. Titled “Thy Will Be Done” we hear Etana and Jo Mersa dropping message music and speaking on the issues affecting Jamaica and its people. In the video Etana’s part is shot in different communities highlighting the youth and the adults that reside there and also scenes of her performing at an event while we see Jo Mersa delivering his part in the studio. A great combination here as the “Strong One” and the 2nd generation Marley deliver conscious music that will reach the ears of many. NEW VIDEO: @AceHood x @Mavado_Gully – Buss Guns


AHIt’s all about million dollar crews and guns in today’s new video from We The Best artists, Ace Hood and Mavado. Titled “Buss Guns” and directed by Rob Dade, we see Ace and the Gully God rounding up their gang to make some moves while dropping some badman lyrics only to be confronted by enemies on their own turf in the end. Nice to see Mavado doing music with Ace Hood but when will he drop a full length effort like his fellow peers? From the Gullyside to We The Best. Today’s Oldies Sunday selection comes from Singer/Songwriter Diana King. Titled “Shy Guy” and produced by Andy Marvel in 1995, Diana sings about being a very desirable lady who all the men are eager for but would rather the affection from a “shy guy“. She speaks on refusing to be with a fly guy, a “rough neck” and a guy who’s “loving everybody” and details what she likes about a shy guy. In “Shy Guy” she delivered the song in English and Jamaican Patois.

MLIt’s a major video today from Major Lazer, Masko and Dancehall duo RDX. Titled “Lose Yourself” and shot in Jamaica by Diplo and Shomi Patwary, we see the Major Lazer crew and RDX dropping their musical effort while being surrounded beauties who include Mela Murder, Lafayette Bless, Mystic, and Tiffany. Good video here, the highlight of it is obviously the dancing ladies and the artists all suited up. We also see alot of goats, an old factory and a old church. OLDIES SUNDAY: Luciano (@JahMessenJah) – Over The Hill (1997)

Today’s Oldies Sunday entry comes from Reggae artist, Luciano. Titled “Over The Hill” and produced by Phillip “Fattis” Burrell for Xterminator Productions in 1997 (Other sources say 1996), Luciano sang about the wrongs that were going on in the world, wanting to take away himself from the “Jungle” created by mankind and head to the hills to be free from all the madness. “Over The Hill” was featured on Luciano’s 5th album “Messenger” which was also his 2nd album released in 1997 on Island Records.
