For those who aren’t familiar, Va$htie is an American DJ/Designer/Blogger/Director who is of Trinidadian descent. For those who are familiar with her, you may have seen a few of her videos, worn her Sneakers (She designed a special Air Jordan II and has a line with Puma), or raved to her DJing at a party. Tonight, after a heads up on her Snapchat recently, she released her Island-flavoured “West Indian Summer” Mixtape. Featuring over an hour of Dancehall, Reggae, Salsa, Reggaeton, Bachata, Merengue and Soca, Va$htie pays homage to the sounds that raised her. Featuring selections from Johnny Osbourne, Protoje, Machel Montano, Romeo Santos, Buju Banton, Celia Cruz, Daddy Yankee and many more! Accompanied with the single is a Music Video shot in New York that showcases Romone along with top Choreographer Blacka Di Danca and fellow Dancers how they turn the energy up in Times Square. You’ve heard the music, and you’ve subscribed to the DMR Youtube Channel, but today Dancehall Artists Fusbaan and CV of LNJ (London New York Jamaica) release their new album titled “Up Ina Di Sky“! Released through their LNJ R&R Records, this 11 track project features the two covering different topics and showing off their diversity. With the “Party Up” single creating the buzz for this project for a while, the Deejays aim to reach more ears across the globe, and continue carrying the LNJ banner as they’re based in London (Fusbaan) and New York (CV). The album is currently available for free for a limited time, but listeners are encouraged to support the album through their GoFundMe campaign, and through iTunes when it is available. @MrLevy411 Collabs With @Supreme_NYC X Jah Life!

New York based Streetwear Brand Supreme recently teamed up with Reggae Crooner Barrington Levy and Reggae Producer Hyman “Jah Life” Wright for a new line of Clothing for their Summer ’16 collection. Wright, who along with Henry “Junjo” Lawes, were the Producers who contributed to the rise of Barrington Levy’s career from the late 70’s to the 80’s. Together they’ve helped to create timeless albums such as “Bounty Hunter“, “Englishman“, and “Robin Hood” which spawned many hits for the young Levy. Supreme is no stranger to the Caribbean as they have worked with DJ/Director/Style Icon Va$htie who is of Trinidadian Heritage, and had a line that featured the late Jamaican Recording Artist Sugar Minott. The new line features a hooded Sweatshirt, 3 T-shirts and a Tank top highlighting the original artwork for Levy’s previously mentioned albums, and a shirt featuring H.I.M. Haile Selassie I. The collection will be available in New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris and online on June 16 while it hits Japan on June 18.

We don’t always know a person’s past or what they’re going through, but there comes a time where they share it all in their own way. Today, US Based Hip Hop/Reggae Artist Sadiki-I shares his life on “My Story“. Directed by Birhan Tonge of Royal Ras Productions and shot in Jamaica and New York, this features Junior Reid and a cameo appearance by popular US Media Personality Angela Yee. Here Sadiki spoke on his Montserrat heritage, being raised in Boston, being a part of the street life, his run ins with the law, and his spiritual journey as a Rastafarian and his journey to Africa. The sizzling artiste has been promoting her recent single ‘Standing There’ produced by Stash di Cash Records and has been receiving great receptions from her fans online.

When asked about her plans for September Bambi said that she is looking forward to releasing her new single ‘I’m On Sheek’. The single produced by Madonnis Berlin is said to show a more fashionable side of Bambi without the rough street flavor she is known for. “I am always very hardcore when it comes to spitting my lyrics so this song is really about being on point as a female in the industry” said Bad Gal Bambi.
