We don’t always know a person’s past or what they’re going through, but there comes a time where they share it all in their own way. Today, US Based Hip Hop/Reggae Artist Sadiki-I shares his life on “My Story“. Directed by Birhan Tonge of Royal Ras Productions and shot in Jamaica and New York, this features Junior Reid and a cameo appearance by popular US Media Personality Angela Yee. Here Sadiki spoke on his Montserrat heritage, being raised in Boston, being a part of the street life, his run ins with the law, and his spiritual journey as a Rastafarian and his journey to Africa. Recording artiste Bad Gal Bambi has been making small club appearances in Brooklyn, New York and is not afraid to take the microphone and put on a show. The sizzling artiste has been promoting her recent single ‘Standing There’ produced by Stash di Cash Records and has been receiving great receptions from her fans online.

When asked about her plans for September Bambi said that she is looking forward to releasing her new single ‘I’m On Sheek’. The single produced by Madonnis Berlin is said to show a more fashionable side of Bambi without the rough street flavor she is known for. “I am always very hardcore when it comes to spitting my lyrics so this song is really about being on point as a female in the industry” said Bad Gal Bambi.

Passing through the Hot 97 studio recently was Dancehall artist Kranium for the “Ebro In The Morning” show. Here he spoke about his single “Nobody Has To Know“, its popularity and the remix with Ty Dolla Sign, Drake liking the single and featuring it at his concerts, being signed to Atlantic Records, promoting other singles, releasing a mixtape in September, and being “single-ish“. After teaming up some time ago, one of Hip Hop’s greatest Rappers, LL Cool J and the Gully God, Mavado drop the visual to “The Hustler“. Directed by Benny Boom and shot in New York, we hear the artists speak on the street life while we witness see some of the activities that happen in the New York streets. While some may see it as an odd combination, I like that Mavado got a chance to work with one of Hip Hop’s elite artists. LL Cool J’s new album will hit the streets very soon. After hitting us with the energetic single weeks ago, We Chief provides a visual to “Gyals From Brooklyn“. Directed by Sebastian Jiminez and shot in Brooklyn, New York at the Grand Army Plaza, Bushwick, Bed-Stuy and DUMBO, we see some ladies performing dance routines, a backyard party, men riding on small pink tricycles, and a cameo from Choreographer Blacka Di Danca. A good effort here as they aim to bring the same energy felt from listening to the song into the video. That Jean Jacket with the We Chief logo on the back is really dope.
