NEW MUSIC: @BustaRhymes x @IamTheKartel x @Tip x Others – #TwerkIt Remix

twerkitremix

After making headlines last month about wanting a Vybz Kartel collaboration, Busta Rhymes got his wish and then some on his “Twerk It Remix“. Featuring a fresh verse from the currently incarcerated Gaza boss along with great contributions from French Montana, Jeremih, Neyo and T.I., It’s obvious Kartel would be the main focus here. Technically the 2nd remix as Nicki Minaj’s version was made as the main single, this version is just as good and is sure to collect numerous spins. Busta Rhymes’ E.L.E. 2 album is on the way. NEW VIDEO: @BustaRhymes x @NickiMinaj – Twerk It

Today’s new music video comes from the duo of Busta Rhymes and Nicki Minaj. Titled “Twerk It” and directed by Director X, we see Busta waking up to tend to a few things only to be confronted by his lady friend. The video also moves to scenes of Busta going through a few costume changes in a dance while dealing with ladies who dance on him and a few men who confront him about matters. Nicki Minaj also shows up in various scenes moving her body (and booty) while deejaying her part of their dancehall-tinged single. Very clean video, funny in some parts with Busta being a character and overall not a bad effort because it’s all about twerking ladies (Who we’ve seen alot of). What do you think? Check it out below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

OLDIES SUNDAY: Chaka Demus And Pliers – Murder She Wrote (1992)

In recognition of French Montana and Nicki Minaj’s hit, “Freaks“, today I feature one of the songs that was sampled in it. Titled “Murder She Wrote“, this was a very popular hit of legendary duo Chaka Demus and Pliers. Released in 1992 and produced by Sly and Robbie on the “Bam Bam” remake riddim, this song was described as a song for the ladies with an “Angel face but a Devil’s heart“. This song spoke about a girl named Maxine who was a user, very promiscuous, and was also a murderer. According to the artists, this was written off an experience but with a few details omitted.
