Titled “Slow Down” and produced by Chimney Records on the Rising Sun Riddim, she encourages all of us to slow down, enjoy the people around you, enjoy the world, and love more before it’s too late. Pay Attention, the premiere Hip Hop event, was held on Saturday October 5, 2013 at Club Indulge (Upstairs South Beach Cafe). Featuring performances by Slo Mo, BPM, Mario Evon and The Sickest Drama (TSD), it was another moment that highlighted the Jamaican Hip Hop movement going strong. Today’s new music comes from Reggae artists Chronixx and Kabaka Pyramid. Titled “Mi Alright” and produced by Chimney Records on the “Rising Sun Riddim“, we hear them talking about having no worries, giving thanks and praise to Jah, and just enjoying life. Very positive song from the artists, Chronixx’s chorus really blended well with Kabaka’s lyrics. Sounds like a hit and I’d love to hear more collabs from these two. We nuh waan no duppy round wi! Today’s new music comes from the BadaBada Gang member Timberlee. Titled “Duppy” and produced by WileTunes/BadaBada Gang on the “Dutty Fowl Riddim“, we hear Timberlee letting us know why she was off scene for a while, being loyal to her team, living her life and never letting negative people and energy trouble her or stopping her progress. She came back with a bang as she sounds like she’s ready to shake up the airwaves. Great production and this sounds like it could be a hit in a short amount of time. What do you think?
