With his upcoming performance on the Arthur Guinness Day concert being a huge milestone in his career, Jah Cure checked in on Onstage to speak on that and more. Here he spoke about the popularity of his cover of John Legend’s “All Of Me” and “Unconditional Love“, working on new music, working with a few producers as he has been producing most of his singles, the Arthur Guinness Day concert, and his experience in shooting the music video for “Unconditional Love” in Cuba. Not a bad interview here, Cure has been doing his thing for a long time so it’s good to see him embark this new milestone in his career. Professing his love for Reggae music today is the one and only Prodi! Titled “Reggae Music And I” and produced by Yawd Movement, we hear Prodi singing about reuniting with Reggae and describes how it has affected his life. He also personifies Reggae and speaks on it being a worldwide influence. Great single here as it gives the feel of it being a new Reggae anthem. This would be great for commercials and even the Jamaican Tourism sector (I called it first!). Prodi’s “Voice Of The People” EP is now available on iTunes! NEW VIDEO: Welcome To @NoiseyMusic Jamaica: Ep. 1

After giving viewers a look into the Jamaican Music culture last year, Noisey is back this year with their second season of “Noisey Jamaica“. Dubbed “Welcome To Noisey Jamaica“, the first episode looks into the new Reggae Movement which is led by the likes of Chronixx, Protoje, and Jesse Royal. Also featured is the controversial Dancehall artist, Alkaline, and they look into how Vybz Kartel has influenced the Dancehall culture. As Chronixx continues to carry his thought provoking songs throughout the world, he premieres his visual for “Capture Land“. Directed by Jerome D and shot in Jamaica, we see the artist trodding through eye catching locations as he speaks on the popular areas in Jamaica and the rest of the world that were captured properties and states that “Rasta nuh live pon capture land“. Teaming up with clothing brand LRG, we see the “Dread and Terrible” artist also rocking some of their gear. If you haven’t heard his “Dread and Terrible” project yet, check it out here and look out for his contribution on Rapper Joey BadA$$’ upcoming “B4.d.A$$” album. NEW VIDEO: @FiveSteez – Welcome

Tonight, Rapper Five Steez welcomes one and all to his home with his new video, “Welcome“. Directed by Nathan Cowan of Caribbean Films with assistance from Bubbla G, Rocket Media and The Talent Inc., this was shot in Half Way Tree and Trench Town. Here Steez drops lyrics about his hometown, the activities that take place daily and of course give a history lesson on some of the children who grew up from there to play an influential part in the development of Hip Hop and the popularity of Reggae Music. We also get cameo appearances from some who play a part in the growth of the “First Coast” Hip Hop Movement. Great video here and I like the take on the black and white video with coloured accents. Fresh off some gigs overseas, Kabaka Pyramid has come a long way and captured many with the good music he creates. Tonight on Onstage he had a conversation with Winford Williams. Here he spoke on his background, his experiences travelling and performing overseas, being a part of the new Reggae movement, fighting the good fight, and his upcoming performance at Usain Bolt’s Tracks & Records. One thing with Kabaka, interview or no interview, you can have great conversations with him. One of the artists I respect, I hope many get to attend the upcoming event.
