Produced by Tunup Squad and featuring Dancehall Artist Chronic Law, Samory I focuses on the mission in, “Victory”. Joining forces with the “Law Boss“, we get a track that is needed in the streets, and around the world. With a music video directed by Dream Shot This and shot in New York, we see the Artists joining forces while see two brothers interact throughout. Last year, the world lost a legend by the name of Max Romeo. With 60 years of music, he built a career that inspired and entertained generations. A legacy that’s celebrated the world over, is now being carried on by his children. Xana Romeo has been one of the children who followed in her Father’s footsteps in upholding strong stances, and deliver music with powerful messages. With many years under her belt, she stands tall with her siblings in keeping the Romeo name alive. She ventures into the new year with “The Divine Blueprint“.

A follow up to her 2021 EP “The Roots Of X” and her 2016 debut album “Wake Up“, Xana Romeo provides guidance, love, motivation, meditation, and positivity with her new album, “The Divine Blueprint”. Released as a double album with “The Divine Dub“, the side B to the album featuring Dub versions of side A’s tracks, Romeo is ensuring she covers the Earth with her sound, and carry on the tasks that her Father started. Production on TDB are handled by Xana and Charmax Music, with collaborations with Lutan Fyah, Addis Pablo, Jallanzo (who steers the “Dub” album with Xana), Micah Shemaiah, Brother Azizzi Romeo, and of course her Father the late Max Romeo. Xana Romeo will take her blueprint to every part of the globe physically, and over the streams, with all intention of connecting with the people the right way. Time to build the structure, and add to her own legacy.

It’s the season for new things. For Recording Artist Protoje, it’s “Album SZN“! With fans speculating when he will drop a new album, and launch another staging of his popular “Lost In Time” Festival, he calmed them a little with the announcement of an album called, “The Art Of Acceptance“, and teased that the Festival will be returning sooner than we think. Kicking things off the right way, we get the first single titled, “At We Feet“.

Produced by Winta James and featuring Damian “Junior Gong” Marley, Protoje sets the tone this Album SZN with, “At We Feet”. The “unofficial Marley brothers” finally unleashed a collaboration that many longed for, with each Artist dropping solid lyrics that will bring the people together around the world. The single is accompanied by a colourful music video directed by SAMO, and we’re treated to great visuals of Jamaica including the Island’s Architecture, the Farming culture, and of course our Sound System culture. That scene where Protoje stands below the “Private Property. No Beach Access” is just a highlight that is very necessary. Gongzilla and King Digg at the controls, will we also get a collab album? One can hope. Chronixx returned from his hiatus last year, and now Protoje makes his return. Stayed tuned!

Produced by Little Lion Sound/Dub Akom and featuring his Daughter Layla-Rei, Bugle starts the year strong with “Good Over Evil”. With so much that has happened in the last year, many of us are just seeking hope, and good things to happen moving forward. Bugle continues to deliver solid music, and extend his already-valuable catalogue. With a music video directed by DaManiac Visualz, the Father/Daughter duo take it to the hills to connect with nature, and join in hearts and voices for something uplifting. Good to see Layla-Rei back on the scene, the last time we’ve heard from her, she collaborated with her Mom Raine Seville on, “Ambition“. Here’s to a positive life.

It’s the first “Oldies Sunday” of the year, and the music continues. This year, it’s all about working towards good things. Today’s selection comes from Singer Barry Biggs, and we go back in time to check out, “Work All Day“.

Co-Produced with Byron Lee and released through Dynamic Sounds in 1976, Barry Bigs speaks on life as a working Man in, “Work All Day”. The hours are long and the work is tiring, but he is seeking the rest that is needed, and the rewards that he toiled so long for. Biggs delivers his song with good vocals here, and he was rewarded well for it as “Work All Day” became his International breakout hit. With great reception in Jamaica, the UK, and other parts of the world, Barry Biggs embraced the success with open arms. “Work All Day” was featured on the 1976 album, “Mr. Biggs“.

Since the release of “Work All Day”, Barry Biggs went on to secure more hits locally and Internationally. He also enjoyed a career as an Audio Engineer and Producer, and was the Lead Vocalist for Byron Lee & The Dragonaires. In later years he would perform, and his songs are still loved today, including “Work All Day”. Keep working for the 2026, and beyond, as the rewards are on the way.
