After burning up the airwaves with the original, it was only right that A$AP Ferg requested a verse from Shabba Ranks to make the remix. “Shabba Ranks (Remix)” also features Busta Rhymes and Migos, who had a hit with “Versace“. This was a decent effort as many haven’t heard a Shabba verse in years and Busta Rhymes had to help represent on the microphone. The Migos feature was an odd one though. A$AP Ferg’s “Trap Lord” album is still in stores. Is this remix a sign of new things to come from Shabba? Maybe. Check out the song below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

As a teaser for his upcoming “Tru Colors” EP, Wayne Marshall recruited Cham, Waka Flocka and Ace Hood for his “Go Harder” single. Considered a remix of sorts that featured Bounty Killa, Vybz Kartel, Damian Marley and others on the original, we hear Wayne going harder against his overseas peers and Cham on this Damian Marley production. Everyone did their thing but Waka had to start with the generic “dutty wine” lyrics. I personally prefer the original but what do you think of this track? Today’s new music comes from the Busy Signal and RC. Titled “Dreams Of Brighter Days” and produced by Silly Walks Discotheque on the “Brighter Days” riddim, we hear the duo taking the Reggae approach dropping conscious lyrics, promoting positive vibes, meditation and dreaming of brighter days. Great effort from the two, it has a Bob Marley feel to it as well. Busy hasn’t slacked off once this year, the hits keep coming.
This one’s for you, have a shot. After debuting this on his new “NewMusicTuesday” series, Dreggae lets us know about the “Single Life“. Featuring singer Jason Lyric and produced by Douglas Wise Rodgers, it’s all about the ladies, liqour flowing, and freedom. No need for stress, enjoy life in excess!
