Titled “Smile Jamaica” and produced by Silly Walks Discotheque on the Honey Pot Riddim, Chronixx uses the formula where he personifies Jamaica as a woman, haves a conversation with her and encourages her to smile. NEW MUSIC: @ChiChingChingJA – Fashionable King (Preview)

Jamaicans are known worldwide for not only their music and culture, but also the fashion and today Chi Ching Ching wants to tell you about his fashionable tastes. Titled “Fashionable King” and produced by Hard Streets Records and Must Rich Records, Ching previews his song and tells us about the name brands he wears and how photogenic he is. OLDIES SUNDAY: Beres Hammond x Marcia Griffiths (@QueenOfReggae) – Live On (1992)

Today’s Oldies Sunday selection comes from two legendary singers, Beres Hammond and Marcia Griffiths. Seeing that this is the last week in February and I haven’t posted a love song this would make a perfect one to end the “Love” theme for the month. Titled “Live On” and produced by Donovan Germain for Penthouse Records in 1992 on the “College Rock” Riddim.

“Live On” finds these two singers talking about being there for each other through good and bad times, expressing the feelings they have for each other and proclaiming that even through old age they’ll still be close and live on.
