Beres Hammond handles production on this “No Disturb Sign”, and it was released through Elektra Records in 1994. The track finds Beres connecting in the best way possible with his lover, going as far as calling in sick from work to make all the time in the world for his lady. When it’s time for love, no disturbance please, just two lovers in their bubble. “No Disturb Sign” is one of Beres’ most popular singles. With his signature vocals, this is guaranteed to bring out the lover in you any time it’s played. “No Disturb Sign” was featured on the 1994 album, “In Control“. With decades of hits, you can count on “No Disturb Sign” to be played on Valentine’s Day. Make sure you lock the doors, turn the phones off, and just let magic happen. Anyone can create something, but it takes a special kind to present that creation to every part of the Globe. Recording Artist D’yani has been creating and sharing his music for a number of years. He has scored a number of hits as well, but he is still on the journey to achieving greatness. Sometimes the journey can be a rough one, and like many Creators, D’yani needs that boost to keep going. On his latest single, he shares that he is “Made For This“.

Produced by Ivey Records on the “Better Dayz Riddim“, D’yani presents “Made For This” as a piece of self-motivation, and shares that his eyes are still on the prize. The single is accompanied by a music video directed by MrNoLiquor for No Liquor Productions, and was shot in the UK during D’yani’s promotional tour in West London, Birmingham, and South London. D’yani has a lot more music to release this year, but remember to give him that much needed boost on any of his platforms.

It’s February, and it’s a month where some of us celebrate love. February 6 is a day that celebrates a Music Icon that’s named Marley, the late Bunny Rugs. Bunny Rugs was the Lead Vocalist of the legendary Third World Band. Today, we recognize him with an Oldies Sunday selection. We go back in time to check out, “Always Around“.

Written by the late Irvin “Carrot” Jarrett, “Always Around” was released through Island Records in 1979. The song featured mostly Bunny Rugs vocals throughout as the song spoke of having that special love around, and every good thing can come from that. The song features smooth production that was handled by the Band, and was one of the songs that was a part of the Band’s transition from Roots Reggae, to more Pop-oriented singles. “Always Around” was featured on Third World’s “The Story’s Been Told” album from 1979. The song never charted, but has been considered one of Third World’s best songs.

It’s Boxing Day part 1! We hope you all had a great Christmas Day filled with unity, laughs, good food, and gifts. We’re giving an Oldies Sunday selection for the final time in 2021. We thank you for giving it some support, and we look forward to even more in 2022. In true New Year fashion, we bring to you Trini legend Baron and his track, “Auld Lang Syne“.

Produced by Julian Williams and released through JW Productions in 1997, Baron gives us some Soca vibes with his version of the classic “Auld Lang Syne“. A song that helps to ring in the new year, Baron brings in some backup singers for a performance that goes very well with your favourite drink, and good people (via Zoom because we’re still social distancing). The track was featured on Baron’s “Christmas With The Baron” album which was also released in 1997. We hope you enjoyed 2021 despite all the madness that happened throughout. It’s only a few days before Christmas Day, but we had to get you an Oldies Sunday fix. For the month of December, we feature some of the Christmas songs you grew up on. Today’s selection finds us in Puerto Rico for Musicians/Producers Willie Colon and Hector Lavoe’s “Esta Navidad“.

Produced along with Jerry Masucci and released through Fania Records (a first for the label) in 1971, Christmas gets some Latin flavour thanks to the sounds of Willie Colon and Hector Lavoe. Willie and Hector are legends in the genre, and making Christmas music was just another extension of their respective brands, and showed that they could make gold out of anything. “Esta Navidad” was featured on the duo’s 1971 album, “Asalto Navideño“.
