It’s all about the children. Incarcerated deejay Vybz Kartel and Gaza Slim team up to show us that children are precious and should be cherished. Titled “Children Are Our Future” and produced by So Unique Records, Gaza Slim covers the lyrics to the late Whitney Houston “The Greatest Love of All” while Kartel deejays that he is against all who threaten and hurt children. OLDIES SUNDAY: @PeterTosh – Glass House (1983)

Today’s Oldies Sunday selection comes from the late great Winston Hubert McIntosh otherwise known as Peter Tosh. Peter Tosh was a former member of the Bob Marley lead band The Wailers who left later down to pursue a solo career and was successful. “Glass House” was one of Peter Tosh’s many hits. “Glass House” was released in 1983 and produced by Peter Tosh for his Intel-Diplo HIM (Intelligent Diplomat for His Imperial Majesty) label. His song was also featured on his 6th studio album, “Mama Africa” which was released the same year. He sings about people who aim to belittle others while they themselves aren’t doing well with their own lives. In the song he chants the very popular proverb, “If you live in a glass house, don’t throw stones“.

Titled “Call Me” and produced by Canada/Jamaica based Chilaa SoSeriuz on the Love Guitar Riddim, Nemesis sends a special invite to the ladies to call him when they need love and affection. NEW MUSIC: @RealJahVinci x @3StarWildLife – Stay Far (Pop Style Riddim)

Kicking things off for the first day in February is a new song from JahVinci alongside 3 Star. Titled “Stay Far” and produced by DJ Frass Records on the Pop Style Riddim, both deejays warn listeners of the hypocrites and deceivers who come their way and should take heed in staying far from them. For those who felt JahVinci was abandoning dancehall after my last post, he’s just being diverse. 3 Star has a 16 year old bodyguard?
