Individually, these two start fires, but as a duo, they create storms with their exceptional talent. We’re talking about Trini Recording Artists Jimmy October and Kalpee as they release their collab titled, “Wherever You Are“! Produced by Tano and Kalpee, the duo deliver a message on this one for those who need to be in that happy place, and offer some feel good music that hit the Globe a lil different. With that Caribbean sound and feel, you can’t go wrong with pressing play on this one. I can’t imagine the Music Video for this, but I know it’ll be beautiful!

“Wherever You Are” is the 1st track on Kalpee’s upcoming EP, “Home“. Until the EP’s release in 2020, you can catch these two making waves all over Trinidad & Tobago, and catching the attention of many outside of the Caribbean thanks to not only their releases, but the various cosigns and praises they’ve received from some big names over the years. Expect a lot more from them before the year is done.

Today, you can hear her delivering lovely notes on her latest single, “Love U Bad“! Teaming up with longtime collaborator Barbwiya Music, and getting some assistance from Nellie Roxx and Christopher Smith, Nicketa shows a lot of love for the man in her life. She shares how he has a way with her, keeps her stress free, takes care of her wants and needs, and sweeps her off her feet everytime! A song that’s relatable with many who never stop having heart eyes (😍) for their significant other. With the media highlighting broken relationships, “Men/Women are trash” comments, and messy couples, it’s nice to hear a partner being appreciated for once.

A song that’ll make you grab your partner and break out in dance, Barbwiya Music ensured to provide some real good vibes in their production for this new single. With the cold time creeping up upon us, shoutout to all the couples who know they have that warmth on lock. No Stew Peas were involved in this love story. Founded by Recording Artist Karma Crew, the event showcases many promising Artists regardless of Genre. To kick things off, DJ Flakes has come on board to give everyone a preview of what’s to come with the “Mobay’s Finest Promo Mix“!

Featuring Karma Crew, Catalyst, Teja Christie, Ras Xtr3me, Tajex, Trooop, Shanika Soulchild, and Chavez Illmatiq, tune in to hear some of their current releases. I wish this mix was a little longer, but if you like what you’re hearing, come on down to Island Strains/Lounge 2727 off Jimmy Cliff Boulevard and enjoy yourselves. This Generation rules the Nation…with VERSION!

Where are the South Park fans? The series has recently kicked off their 23rd season, and last week celebrated their 300th episode! Continuing their “Tegridy Farms” story from last season, Wednesday’s episode tackled Marijuana and Plant-based meals in “Let Them Eat Goo“. During a later part in the episode, the character Randy Marsh and Towelie got themselves in some cow related problems after setting up shop for their own line of Plant-based “Impossible Burgers“. How did they handle that problem? By first getting high, and taking care of business to the tune of the 1982 Reggae classic, “Pass The Dutchie” by Musical Youth!

Produced by Peter Collins, this is a song about facing extreme poverty. This song was redone version of the Mighty Diamonds’ hit “Pass The Kutchie. More info on the track can be found here. The single has been been a historic one as it helped with Musical Youth being the first black group to have appeared in a Studio segment on MTV.
