Jo Lin Finds Liberation With Debut Single, “Closure”

Today, we introduce to you a new Singer on the block, and her name is Jo Lin. The young star is ready to take on the world with her sound, and we believe you’re going to love her. A Singer born with the talent, she is the Daughter of one of Dancehall’s legendary voices, Ghost. All that aside, it’s time you hear what she’s about. Tune in to her debut single, “Closure“.

Produced by SOS Dynamikz, Jo Lin finds emotional clarity, and liberation in her debut single, “Closure”. When many relationships end, they end on a note that leaves people clueless and confused. For some relationships however, the partners find themselves back in each other’s spaces for good, or for bad. Jo Lin has to deal with a relationship that was bad for her, but something keeps pulling her back in. In the end, she breaks away from that grip of toxicity, and sends a message to Women in similar situations to abandon ship. “Closure” is for those who need to realize their self-worth, to heal from past pain, to truly love one’s self again, and be alert to those red flags, and walk away. Jo Lin’s debut starts off strong, and for those who wish to hear more of her, catch her sharing the stage with her Father on February 15 at “I Love Souls” at Di Lot on 33 Constant Spring Road, Kingston.

With names like Lila Ike, Stalk Ashley, Vindon, 1Ski OG, Prince Guava, Steel Chest, SOS Dynamikz, and Kacique contributing greatly to the culture in recent years, Dancehall Artist Raw Cashh has been steadily rising with his brand of content, ready to make a bigger impact. His catalogue continues to grow, and recently he stepped up to the stage with his new EP, “States Still Mad“.

Consisting of 6 tracks, Raw Cashh expands on his brand with the “States Still Mad” EP. Cashh continues to lure the listener in on the fast life, talks about his times with the Women, and share his love of getting to the money. Cashh has steadily built his fanbase, and the new EP is sure to connect with his current following, and reel in newcomers. BrainFreeze Records oversees the production on the EP along with contributions from SOS Dynamikz, Lakeway Music, ProdTreyBeats, and Bobociti Records. Manchester will soon become a greater hotbed for talent, and Raw Cashh is one of the acts who will bring the spotlights and radars closer to the location.

Azkella Releases Visual For @SOSDynamikz-Produced, “Never Safe”

Recording Artist Azkella is steadily making her way up to the forefront of Jamaica’s music scene. For a number of years she has been releasing content and making her name known, and the coming months could see her making the right impact. This time around, she gets dark in the video for the track, “Never Safe“.

Directed by Pixledge Studios, Azkella gets into some bad gyal vibes on “Never Safe”. Decked out in all black with a weapon or two close by, she has some aggression to go with her fit that will have people treading carefully. Azkella taps into some Goth Girl vibes here, and her delivery proves that she doesn’t limit her sound, and won’t be boxed in. She teamed up with longtime Producer/Collaborator SOS Dynamikz for “Never Safe”, and one can hope there’s a project with them in the works. If you’re not familiar with Azkella, take this time to get familiar with her sound. Don’t cross her, for it won’t end well.

FRIENDS ONLY is an LA based creative company founded by Natalie Prospere, and is partners with Mass Appeal Records, the label behind releases from Run The Jewels, Dave East, and its co-founder, Nas. Recently, the company announced a new product called, “Friends Only, Jamaica“. “Friends Only, Jamaica” is on a mission to bridge the gap between local talent in Jamaica, and visiting artists and producers from the U.S. As a part of the mission, a “Friends Only, Jamaica” compilation has been made, with the first single, “Never Be The Same” featuring Kabaka Pyramid, Medisun, Hector “Roots” Lewis, Buddy, and EarthGang released a few days ago. Today, we get to see the official Music Video.

Directed by Nickii Kane and shot in Ocho Rios, we’re given a BTS look at how the track was put together. The video finds the Artists writing and recording their parts over the Dre Day production, and we see some unity and good vibes throughout. Producers Universvl ZincFence and J.L.L., Recording Artist Lucky Daye, and Reggae Artist Chronixx make appearances in the visual, and just by watching we know the recording sessions were a lot of fun. We look forward to the full “Friends Only, Jamaica” compilation when it hits the streets and streams in 2022.

On the Blog, we highlight, promote, and celebrate some of the Caribbean’s best creative talent. We’ve helped many from “Day one“, and we’ve watched their growth over the years to becoming a household name and more. GRAMMY winning Producer SOS Dynamikz is one of those talents we’ve seen build his way up long before this Blog was even created. Today on his birthday (December 12), we highlight him in our new Short Film, “SOS Dynamikz“!

Shot at his home in Manchester (Jamaica), we caught SOS Dynamikz getting into his production zone while we give you tidbits of information on him. He even shared the creative process behind Koffee’s “Blazin” featuring Jane Macgizmo that was featured on Koffee’s GRAMMY winning “Rapture” EP. If you’re new to SOS Dynamikz, this is a great opportunity to know about him. If you’re a fan, we give you an inside look on the method to SOS’ madness (lol).

When you see the names SOS Dynamikz and BNJMN, just know that some dope music was made. Having found themselves putting in the work in recent years, they are only climbing up to the ladder of success, and getting all that comes with it. With SOS contributing to Koffee’s Grammy winning “Rapture EP” and Chronixx’s Grammy nominated “Chronology” Album, and BNJMN working with the likes of Future, Stalk Ashley, Dave East and more, they have a lot of tricks up their sleeves. One of the surprises is their work on Hip Hop Artist Smoke DZA’s new project, “A Closed Mouth Don’t Get Fed“.

Contributing to the track, “Dark Web” featuring T-Pain, SOS Dynamikz and BNJMN lend their sounds along with Producer Super Miles to a track that is sure to get a lot of streams. With Smoke DZA’s signature sound and T-Pain’s Auto-tuned delivery, may this track be one of your favourites this year. While major placements are nothing new to the Jamaican Producers, we still congratulate SOS Dynamikz and BNJMN, and we look forward to more.
