NEW MUSIC: @ASAPFerg x @BunjiGarlin x @SpiceOfficial – Jolly (RAW)

front

It’s a Caribbean and Harlem linkup today on this “Black Friday” with ASAP Ferg, Bunji Garlin repping Trinidad and Spice repping Jamaica. Titled “Jolly” and produced by Corey Maor, we hear the three acts bringing the street dance to the “‘Hood” with ASAP’s raps, Bunji’s Soca chants and Spice’s bad gal Dancehall lyrics. A fun effort as the hook would encourage fist pumping whether you’re a Raver, a “‘Hood fellow” with liquor in hand or a “Bad gal”. Off Ferg’s newly released “Ferg ForeverMixtape which is hosted by DJ Drama, get your cup of Jolly Ranchers ready. Check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

NEW VIDEO: @SpiceOfficial x @IamTheKartel – Conjugal Visit

SPKar

Dropping a new music video today are Dancehall artists Spice…and Vybz Kartel? Titled “Conjugal Visit” and directed by Xtreme Arts, we see the artists expressing how they miss each other as Vybz is currently in prison while Spice is on the outside having moments where she misses having him near. With this in mind, Spice sets out to make a conjugal visit to Vybz at the Horizon Adult Remand Center. What can I say this is a rather interesting video as they’ve done a great job at getting a Vybz Karteldouble” and the video quality is very clean. I believe this could be another hit for the artists but I’m not sure if it will be as big as “Ramping Shop“. Only time will tell. Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

NEW VIDEO: @SpiceOfficial – Like A Man

SOSwitching up the gender role today is Deejay Spice with her new video. Titled “Like A Man“, Spice speaks on the gender inequality in Dancehall and asks if she would be respected more if she was a male deejay and dropped different lyrics. She also introduces “Splice“, the male version of Spice which was rather hilarious and shows her on camera diversity. If she deejayed like Vybz Kartel or tatted her eyes like Alkaline, would she be respected more? Interesting music video from the deejay. Check it out below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

VYBZ-KARTEL

With Vybz Kartel and his co-accused all serving life sentences, many fans feel that “Dancehall is dead” and there’ll never be another artist quite like him. While the “Dancehall is dead” statement is a bit far-fetched, this marks as a loss to the music community.
