OLDIES SUNDAY – @FutureFambo – Kung Fu (1994)


Today’s Oldies Sunday selection requires you to only dance, not practice your chops and kicks. The selection comes from Dancehall Artist Future Troubles a.k.a. Future Fambo. Titled “Kung Fu” and produced by Roof International in 1994, we hear Future instructing listeners to do the Kung Fu Dance and aim to make it a staple at parties. In a time when new dances were being created, this was a hot single for the artist and created a buzz for him in the streets.

PRESS RELEASE: @RR_Musiq’s Collaborations Score Big!


While she is an up and coming artiste RR pronounced “Double R” has been making strides with her collaborations. The sultry artiste has released ‘A Dat Yuh Wah’ featuring Sizzla and ‘Crazy in Love Remix’ featuring Mavado. Both collaborations have opened doors for her to working with several top local and international producers.

RR said, “These collaborations have really assisted me in elevating my career. As a female in dancehall I look towards keeping my music at a high standard and as such I will ensure my productions remain at the highest standard”. ‘A Dat Yuh Wah’ was produced by Frankie Music and ‘Crazy In Love Remix’ was produced by UIM Records. Both songs have been receiving air plays on several underground radio in London, main stream radio in North America, Ghana, and the Bahamas. “To hear stations such as 100 Jamz in Bahamas, Irie Jamz and Hot 97 in New York, Carib Flex in Palm Beach and 99 Jamz in Miami play my music has been a blessing to me. I have had success with other singles but these collaborations I believe will climb several charts”, shared RR. She also added that both singles are available on iTunes for purchase.

First he let you “Syvah” with him, then “Shampoo” all over the dance floor, but what does Ding Dong have next in store? “Press Gas” as tonight on Onstage he revealed all to Winford Williams. Here he spoke about the success of his singles and dances, his performances at events like Reggae Sumfest and Dream Weekend, defying the odds when he recorded on the “Happy Hour Riddim” months after its release with “Lowe Me Nuh“, being a part of Corporate Jamaica, making it his objective to bring back dancing to Dancehall, the “Gas” trend and its popularity, and his upcoming birthday party. Ding Dong also took over the stage and performed “Gas” and of course dance with his Ravers Clavers crew. The dancing King is here and we look forward to more hits.
