Taking a stealthy route in his new video is the Sparta General, Tommy Lee Sparta. Titled “Crow” which was directed by Wayne South and shot in Panama, we see Tommy Lee Sparta playing the role of an Assassin as he seeks and takes down his target. A different type of video here from the Sparta boss. I could see this being a part of a mini movie for Tommy Lee Sparta with a short story line. Next to step out of the “First Coast” today is Gully Ca$h with his full length project titled “TrillInAYaad“. The title means “To be true to yourself, no matter which country you call home“. Featuring 11 tracks showcasing the street life, the celebrations of life, and thug motivation, Gully aims to have ears listening and supporting the movement no matter where they are. Gully Ca$h made sure to share the platform with fellow “First Coast” artists Lano Di Rulah, Stratdon, Ukasion and feature production from the likes of SOS Dynamikz. Shot in Kingston by Lance Brown and Damien Baddy, we see Toni donned in a pink bathing suit, roller blades, headphones and blue hair putting on the moves to Junior Senior’s hit song “Move Your Feet“. This is something only Toni can pull off and make it a success! Love this video as it encourages viewers to also move their feet and catch some of the special areas in Kingston. With a career spanning over 15 years, T.O.K. is Jamaica’s first Dancehall Quartet and with a new EP, they visited Winford Williams to discuss a few matters. Here they spoke on maintaining the friendships and careers for so long, their almost break up, their side ventures, touring, their “Taking Over” EP and Reality Show, and upcoming performances. Not a bad interview here, I’m impressed that despite the breakups of many crews and friendships in Dancehall music, they’ve managed to hold it together throughout all this time.
