Featuring 8 tracks with each rapper bringing everything in their arsenal except the kitchen sink, KMT shows us that they rep where they’re from to the fullest and they’re hungry for all the opportunities they deserve in music. Get to know them as they all produced solo efforts via their “United Empire“, “High Tunez Gang” and “876 Beats And Records” teams respectively. Today’s Oldies Sunday selection comes from “The Son Of Selassie” a.k.a. Max Romeo. Titled “Chase The Devil“, this was produced by Lee “Scratch” Perry with backing by “The Upsetters” band in 1976 for Island Records. It was also a single included in Max’s 4th studio album, “War Inna Babylon“. The song brings forth a “Good conquering evil” theme where the Devil is being a negative force on Earth and when Max dons his Iron shirt, he will fight the Devil and send him to outer space. Max later explained that the Devil is everything negative in our minds and the Iron shirt is our strength of spirit that allows one to cast out the Devil.

Here he spoke about his move from conscious Dancehall including his reasons, the changes since his move, his new management team “True Gift Entertainment“, and peformed his new single “Blah Daff“. Since announcing his new deal last year, Deejay Teflon has been pretty busy and on Onstage he speaks on that and more. Here he spoke on making new music and videos, lecturing, wanting to elevate music to another dimension, bring the “New King”, premiering his “Talk Dem A Talk” video, not having a huge beef with I Octane, and urging listeners not to misjudge him. He also performed a couple songs for the audience. Teflon has been steadily keeping the fire burning and plans to reach more people this year. A hitmaker since his debut, Busy Signal has been able to make hits in any genre he tackles. With promises to deliver more hits, he discussed this on Onstage tonight. Here he spoke on the status with his new management, working with Coca Cola, creating new music and touring, getting lots of love in Africa, his controversial single “What If?“, his other singles “Whatsapp” and “Text Message“, and he also performed “What If?” and other singles. Not a bad Interview, I really like that Busy has seen plenty success since his prison release and he will be seeing much more for years to come.
