Q: No stranger to the #PayAttention showcase, welcome back. What do you plan to do differently this time round? So patrons can know what to expect.

A: It’s no surprise really! I’m bringing that “Block” to the stage and basically showcasing my brand of entertainment.  I want my people to know #Immortals, we’re gonna party to that, nah mean?  Y’all can expect live collabs with the Red General (T.M.O.) and Kash Kapri for starters.

With strong lyrics in his arsenal, Dancehall artist J. Luga speaks out against rapists and child abusers in his latest single. Titled “Bun Raper” and produced by Prolific Records, Luga gets at those who seek pleasure in abusing children and taking advantage of women, and warns that there will be dire consequences if they continue to do these evil acts. With Rape being a topic in the news, J. Luga believes in the anti-rape movement and will bring justice for those who have experienced the hurt and will protect others from being a statistic. Inspired by Dancehall music is T Pain’s latest single. Titled “Dis A My Ting“, this features Kardinal Offishall and an unnamed young lady on the chorus. Together they drop a little Dancehall and some Jamaican inflections in this bass heavy Hip Hop track. Interesting single from T-Pain but something you can play at ignorant levels. With his Ancient Future album finally being released, Protoje went over the shores and stopped by Hot 97’sEbro In The Morning” show. Here he gave a little on his background, his album, the difference between his music and other music in Jamaica, liking Hip Hop and Reggae influencing the genre, the decriminalizing of Marijuana in Jamaica, and more. Pretty short interview but still a good one. Protoje’s riding high off Ancient Future’s success as it has topped a few Reggae and iTunes charts. “Body Specialist” deejay, Gully bop is now settling down after a long flight to the island of Great Britain. This marks his very first trip outside of his homeland, Jamaica. “ Well them say me never a go make it at Jamworld. Say me can’t pass Christmas to the New year, but who God bless no man curse,” Gully Bop reasoned as he dismissed naysayers upon arrival at the Gatwick Airport.

His first offshore performance is set for this Saturday at Club Diamond in Luton followed by Scala in King’s Cross, London on Sunday. Gully Bop remains in England for the remainder of March. In April he commences concerts throughout the Caribbean, before he jets off for dates in progress for Europe, the USA and Canada. Gully Bop formerly known, as Country Man has been an aspiring dancehall artiste for decades.
