NEW VIDEO: @OnstageTV Interviews @LeviRootsMusic

LR

After giving people great music over the years, Reggae artist/TV Personality Levi Roots decided to spread his entrepreneurial wings and give people all over the world a piece of Jamaica. On tonight’s episode of Onstage he spoke on his upbringing, being unable to fully educate himself before leaving Jamaica for the UK at age 11, his Reggae Reggae Sauce brand, the sauce’s success and launching it in Jamaica, his plans to produce the sauce in Jamaica, his experiences with the brand, his future ambitions and more. Great Interview, I may be a little late to the brand but I do hope it’s very successful here. I like the ad for it as well. I wonder if Levi is hiring. NEW MUSIC: O.S.O.M. (Onira x @NeekoReggae) x Hurricane Jermaine – Herbalist Man

OSOM x Hurricane Jermaine Herbalist Man

Today’s new music comes from a collaboration between UK’s DJ Neeko, Onira and Hurricane Jermaine. Titled “Herbalist Man” and produced by Onira and Neeko as O.S.O.M., we hear Hurricane Jermaine singing about his love for the herbs while we get a bit of dubstep throughout the track. Not a bad effort from them, very interesting hearing dubstep with lyrics encouraging the use of marijuana. It’s the healing of the nation so If you get some, you know what to do. What you think of the song? Check it out below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

OLDIES SUNDAY: @MusicalYouth30 – Pass The Dutchie (1982)

This generation rules the nation with version! Today’s Oldies Sunday selection comes from British Child Reggae Band, Musical Youth. Titled “Pass The Dutchie” and produced by Peter Collins in 1982, this is a song about facing extreme poverty. This song was redone version of the Mighty Diamonds’ hit “Pass The Kutchie” which was a song about smoking Marijuana. In the redone version, “Kutchie” was replaced with “Dutchie“, which was the name of a cooking pot.

NEW VIDEO: @TheRealEVE x @FluffyMissKitty – EVE

Well that was quick. After leaking the single just a few days ago, Eve premiered the visual treatment to her single “Eve“. Shot in her current residence of London, we see Eve strolling through the streets and dropping her raps to make it clear she’s coming back for her title. While the single features Jamaican Media Personality Miss Kitty, she wasn’t available for the shoot and we can see Eve lip-syncing a bit of Kitty’s part. Very clean video although I expected more than her just strolling through the streets and rapping and I am upset that I had to search really hard to find a video available for Jamaicans to view it. How can you have a song that features a Jamaican but block Jamaicans from seeing it? What you think? Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

OLDIES SUNDAY: @PuppaChezidek – Leave The Trees (2006)

In recognition of yesterday’s “420” celebrations, today I feature a song from Reggae artist Chezidek. Titled “Leave The Trees” and produced by Hugh “Bunny Dan” Miller for Our Promotions in 2006, Chezidek warns us about the effects of drugs and alcohol while proclaiming that Marijuana is beneficial to the people and should not be discarded by the law enforcement as burning it harms the environment. He also sings about the positive effects of Marijuana where it is medicine and can be made into clothing and proceeds from selling it could support families.
