Today’s new video comes from Kabaka Pyramid. Titled “Liberal Opposer” and directed by Jason Lannaman for Arawak Studios, Kabaka drops conscious lyrics about fighting for what is right, tracing his lineage to Ethiopia, and living right in every way. Traveling with a mob in Half Way Tree, Winford Williams managed to catch Shabba to speak on a few things. Here Shabba spoke about being in Jamaica to celebrate Mother’s Day, recording in Jamaica for the first time in many years, visiting his old communities, his views on Dancehall recently including the conviction of Vybz Kartel, family life, and possibilities of performing in Jamaica again.
