Bayka Clocks In With The “Gyal Dem Shift” EP

The ladies love Bayka, and he loves them as well. They love him so much, they pretend to be in committed relationships with him. Parasocial relationships aside, the Deejay has made tracks that quickly became favourites for his Female fanbase. He continues to do so with the release of the “Gyal Dem Shift” EP.

Inspired by his 2022 hit single, “Gyal Dem Shift” is Bayka’s 3-track token of appreciation for the ladies. While he works on a full project, he holds them over with a few songs for the Summer. Released through Out Deh Records, production on the EP include Zimi Records, DJ Mac, and Rich Fingers while he enlists Dancehall Queen Spice through the inclusion of the crowd favourite, “Miss Pretty“. Packed with aggressive energy and raunchy vibes throughout, Bayka will continue to be a guilty pleasure for the ladies with this EP.

No matter what’s going on in the world, there’s nothing better than being a Jamaican. Call it Island pride, but there’s something extra special about coming from Jamaica. Even when times are rough, many of us wouldn’t trade their upbringing here for anything. Recording Artist Kabaka Pyramid has experienced the world in a number of ways, but there’s nothing like “Jamaica” to him.

Featured on his new “Pon Di Island” Riddim Compilation, Kabaka Pyramid celebrates where he’s from in the Visualizer for, “Jamaica”. Directed by Filmaica, Kabaka shows off a number of places in Jamaica, inviting many to come on down to enjoy it all and more. He also shares highlights of his travels and tours, where he gets a chance to share his music with the people. Small as our Island is, its impact is greater than many countries, and we wi proud caan done. Will Kabaka’s “Jamaica” be a part of a Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) campaign? Maybe. We’d love to be a part of putting it together if it happens. From 876 to the world, big up Jamaica!

It’s a new month! Welcome to June, a.k.a. the Wedding month for many. Big up those who are tying the knot this month, but what’s on your Wedding Playlist? Luckily for today’s “Oldies Sunday” selection, we have a suggestion. Check out Reggae Artists Alborosie and Etana’s “Blessing“.

Co-Produced with Clifton “Specialist” Dillion and released through Forward Recordings in 2008 and VP Records in 2009, Alborosie and Etana delivered what would become a part of many Wedding soundtracks in, “Blessing”. The duo share the joy of being together, joining in hearts and love, and emphasize that their union was a divine creation. The combination of their unique vocals over the powerful production make for a great listen, and shortly after its release, it became a hit. “Blessing” was featured on Etana’s debut album, “The Strong One” in 2009, and in 2014 on the “Alborosie & Friends” album. While we don’t have chart information on the track, it became a top charting song for many listeners worldwide.

Since the release of “Blessing”, Alborosie went on to have a fruitful career in Reggae. The Italy-born Artist scored more hits and released more albums, cementing his place in the culture. Etana went on to become a Reggae powerhouse, becoming the first Female Artist in nearly 20 years to be nominated for a GRAMMY. She has amassed a number of hits, but “Blessing” remains one of her biggest collaborations.

Recording Artist/Songwriter Major Myjah has been making plenty moves throughout the year, and he’s just trying to create his own lane like his legendary Father. From releasing his own music to penning songs for some of your favourite Artists, he’s putting in the necessary work. With all that work however, one must find time to relax. In the video for his new single, “Gyal Code“, he’s relaxing in the best way possible.

Directed by Waxbando and OffBuckFilms, Major Myjah gets close to the ladies in the video for, “Gyal Code”. Featuring Recording Artist Davo (son of this legend), the Crawba Genius-produced single finds Myjah making the claim that he makes all the ladies sing his songs. There’s no doubt that he does, and the video finds him interacting with a few on a Yacht overlooking some beautiful waters throughout. Major has been celebrating quite a few accomplishments this year as he shared the stage with Vybz Kartel in New York, joined Masicka in Miami, and performed solo at the recently-held “Best Of The Best Miami” event. Expect a lot more from him later this year. Ladies Love Major Myjah.

The 2020s has been good to Dancehall Icon Elephant Man. With many falling by the wayside, the Deejay has managed to stay afloat with new music that connects with new and old listeners, and consistent bookings that finds him bringing his energy to different territories. 30 years is a huge feat, and he’s still making great things happen. He makes the people dance, and the mission is not over. He steps out with the new project, the “Dancing To The Max” EP.

Featuring 8 tracks, Elephant Man provides a package for the enthusiastic Dancer in the “Dancing To The Max” EP. The title borrows from his recent hit single of the same name, and he shares previous singles that have done some damage in the streets. Production on “DTTM EP” includes Energy God Productions, DJ Mac, Damage Musiq, and Silent Addy, and you can’t go wrong with this lineup of party singles. The Summer has always been a big season for Elephant Man, so it’s only right that he releases a soundtrack for your Summer. Dancehall Artist Ayetian has been putting in the work to become one of the hottest acts of the year, and he has a lot more in store. Earlier this year he got the ladies’ attention with the raunchy single “Tip” off of his “Trini Pack” EP. The song did very well on streaming platforms and on Social Media, and recently teased that he has a couple friends who wanted to contribute verses for a remix. Earlier today, he premiered the video for the official “Tip (Remix)“.

Featuring Dancehall Artist Skillibeng, Ayetian makes the bad gyal dem get wild again with the “Tip (Remix)”. The Nvtzz/Spaj Phoenix/LSMG/Brooklyn Decent-produced track will be a guilty pleasure for more people on and offline, and many will find themselves reciting Skilli’s lines. With a Brownland Pictures-directed video finds the Deejays and Producer Nvtzz in the streets connecting with the ladies, and performing the track. While previews of the remix featured Shenseea, she is noticeably absent, leaving the speculation that she’ll show up on another version. With the attention locally and Internationally that Ayetian is getting, the Summer is looking to be a really intense one.
