.@ZacJonesStony Deals With Matters Of The Heart In “Lonely” Visual

Zac Jone$ has been putting in the work over the years. Having enjoyed the success of the 2019 single “Miss Jamaica” featuring Agent Sasco, he is on his way to making a lot more things happen. Earlier this year he gave the world the bubbling single, “Lonely“, now he follows up with the visual.

Directed by Jesse Suchomel and starring Kadiya McDonald as the love interest, Zac Jone$ deals with matters of the heart over an iotosh production. The video highlights Zac and Kadiya working on getting closer while Zac shares how various factors can affect what can become a promising relationship. The events of the past can make one feel lonely even in a situation, but with the right words of encouragement, they can be put aside to embrace a lovely future. The video is beautifully presented, and features appearances by Sheen, BenjaminStony, Luke Jones, Lauren Tomlinson, Rashieka Teona, and Kyle Anderson.

Toronto’s heavy hitter DJ Blkluos is working hard to give the world new continue. Still keeping Heartbreak Quotey’s name alive, he has a lot more in the tank to deliver. One of his latest releases is the visual for his 2020 single, “Changes“.

The video finds DJ Blkluos getting into some bars as he makes various observations, and shares his thoughts over some dark Trap production provided by JXYMEFROMTHENINE. “Changes” was released as a part of a 3 pack in 2020 that included “I Thought About It“, and “Dead People“. OLDIES SUNDAY: Trinity – Three Piece Suit (1975)

Today on Oldies Sunday, we celebrate a Jamaican Icon who has transitioned on to the big session in the afterlife. Today we show respect to the late Wade “Trinity” Brammer and his classic, “Three Piece Suit“.

Produced by Joe Gibbs and Errol Thompson and released through Belmont Records in 1975, Trinity delivered his track in a style that we know as “toasting/deejaying“. A style that was also made popular by the likes of U-Roy, Dennis Alcapone, and many others, Trinity got lyrical over the “version/instrumental” of the popular Alton Ellis single, “I’m Still In Love With You” to speak about his situation with a voluptuous woman. The single was later featured on Trinity’s 1977 album of the same name. A song that is considered one of the first Dancehall songs, it became a huge hit for Trinity, and later inspired a counteraction track from Jamaican duo Althea & Donna titled, “Uptown Top Ranking” which went on to become a classic. Since the release of “Three Piece Suit”, Trinity helped to inspire the new generations of artists especially in the growing genre known as Dancehall, has collaborated with some of the top artists, and released a lot more classic material. Trinity passed away on April 9, 2021, but his music continues to live on.

On the rise Jamaican Singer Elise Dash has been blessing people near and far with great vocals. Having done her share of cover music over the years, she has been inspired to get extra creative and start making original music. Now presenting her original debut, we get to hear the single, “Soldier“.

Produced by French label Bat Records on a Riddim inspired by the late Sugar Minott’s “Victim Of Society“, the Covid 19 pandemic brought inspiration and extra creativity to Elise Dash to make this single. On the track, she speaks on overcoming restlessness, insomnia, and many other stressful episodes that she has faced in over a year since the pandemic become prominent. Delivering great vocals, you can instantly feel the emotions she has been experiencing, and she puts everything together in a way that makes you want to replay it over and over. A live show performer, she has been one of the many affected by the various lockdowns in the music industry, and had to resort to online platforms to showcase her talent. Looking up to artists like Desmond Dekker, Bob Marley & The Wailers, Alton Ellis, and Sly & Robbie, Elise Dash looks to make her own mark in music, and create history along the way. But first, she has to keep soldiering on through this pandemic. Get a spliff, a serious work ethic, or get to praying.

The Heptones’ “Heptones Gonna Fight” Featured In New @SnowFallFX Episode

Are you a fan of TV shows? What do you get into? For some, the FX series “Snowfall” is a must-see TV show. With a story set around the beginning of the “Crack Epidemic” in 1980s LA, it has been hailed as one of the best crime dramas out. On episode 6 in season 4 of the series, a familiar Jamaican hit can heard, and it comes from the iconic, The Heptones!

During a scene featuring “Snowfall” character Khadijah, The Heptones’ 1968 release “Heptones Gonna Fight” can be heard throughout. Produced by “Sir Coxsone” Dodd for Studio One, the track was featured on the group’s “On Top” album. It has been sampled by Garnett Silk, Shy FX, and former member Leroy Sibbles. It would seem like an injustice if you have a Film or TV Show and not have some Jamaican music as the soundtrack. “Snowfall” can be seen weekly on FX on Cable, or on Hulu.

Ragz To Richez Production Aims To Become The Next Hit Factory

Jamaican Record Label Ragz To Richez Production is a young label on the rise, but has managed to connect with some of the best in the game already. Founded in 2016 by Manchester born Vannesa “Halie” Dixon, the label has provided unique sounds and produced charting singles for the likes of Vershon, Macka Diamond, Qraig (from Voicemail), Devin Di Dakta, and many others. With the year 2020 being seen as one of the label’s biggest years, it’s on the way to exceeding expectations in 2021.

2020 saw Ragz To Richez Production making all the necessary moves to become a fixture in various parts of the world. One of the releases that caught the ear of many was Ding Dong’s “Mirror”. Released in May 2020 on the “Public Figure Riddim”, the single quickly amassed thousands of plays on various digital music streaming outlets, and became one of the songs that ruled the summer thanks to being performed at events like Reggae Sumfest 2020. A music video was also made for the single, and has since scored over 800,000 views on Youtube.

Following Ding Dong’s hit for Ragz To Richez Production, Qraig, and emerging artists Intence and Kemar Highcon followed up with the singles “Outside Mi Deh”, “What’s Love”, and “Whap!” respectively. Officially released in Summer 2020, they helped to enhance Ragz To Richez Production’s profile as they became some of the year’s biggest singles. Both Qraig and Kemar’s singles scored high streaming numbers, while Intence’s video for his “What’s Love” single scored over 1 Million views on Youtube. Thanks to their various collaborations and releases, Ragz To Richez Production has been highly requested by some of Jamaica’s top artists, and praised by some of the music industry’s leading figures.
