Recording Artist Fvrfvn is building some vibes over in Trinidad & Tobago. He’s definitely creating through the quarantine. Fresh off his “13th Street Quarantine Sessions” episode, we get, “That Feeling“!

With a sample based beat produced by B. Young, Fvrfvn provides the vibes that has us thinking about all the fun stuff we’d be doing outside. Many of us miss going to the Beach, taking those spur of the moment road trips, or just hanging with friends around a bonfire. While Covid 19 has put a stop to that for now, all we can do is dream of the day when we can be free to do all those things and more.

Episode 6 of our “13th Street Quarantine Sessions” is a showcase of bars tonight as Texas based Jamaican Rapper Chase Soundz is ready to go! Tonight, he gives us a performance of one of his upcoming tracks called, “The Scrivener“. For quite some time, Chase Soundz has been giving listeners his blend of Hip Hop/Dancehall, and looks to be one of next big voices on the scene. Currently promoting his “Like That” single, be on the look out for more from the Mobay Bwoy!

Since his release from prison in 2018, Jamaican Icon Buju Banton has been on a run. With performances and new music all 2019 and early 2020, Buju has been back like he never left. Today, he reunites with another musical icon, John Legend on “Memories“. It’s been 12 years since their collab, “Can’t Be My Lover“, and now their pairing is just as good as they reflect on past lovers who they still very much have feelings for. With Buju, Lenky Marsden, and Donovan Germain handling production, it’s a song that’s very relatable, and a showcase of two friends creating some great music.

“Memories” is featured on Buju’s upcoming album, “Upside Down“, which will see a release later this year through Gargamel Music/Roc Nation. Good to hear new Buju, and a reunion with John Legend. May 6th marks the birthday of Jamaican Recording Artist/Creative Director/Jill Of All Trades LatyKim! Not letting the current crisis dampen her day, she kicks it off in fine style with the release of her 2nd single, “Gi State“!

Teaming up with Dale “Dizzle” Virgo and DZL Records, the young lyricist spits flame emojis and shows off veteran level flows as she continues to surprise listeners since officially debuting as an artist in 2018. From freestyle battling on various platforms, to making appearances on tracks by Kenzic and PseudoKhule, we let you in on her being one of the ladies you need to keep on your radar. Were we wrong? Toronto Producer DJ Blkluos wasted no time during this as he teamed up with Toronto acts 333 Zilla and MDRandle for the “Isolation EP“. with 4 tracks loaded, we get a dose of fresh sample-filled production from Blkluos that backs the tag team of Hip Hop and R&B vibes from 333 Zilla and MDRandle here. Together, the trio produce some great music, and may catch you off guard at how well they work together. The quarantine may bring on a lot of stress and pressure, but it produced lots of jewels from these 3 creatives.
