In recognition of May being Child’s Month I present to you a hit from a great Reggae act, Tony Rebel. Titled “Teach The Children” which was produced by Bobby Digital (Digital B) and released in 1994, this is message music encouraging good upbringing of children. He speaks on the action of adults being a influence to children along with the saying “If you want a good cow, you better grow a good calf“.  Watch what you say to children, they need guidance and good upbringing.

Out of nowhere Busta Rhymes  premiered a single that is sure to burn up the airwaves in the summer. Titled “Twerk It” and produced by longtime collaborator Pharrell Williams, Bussa Buss goes back to his Jamaican roots and deejays for the ladies to do all manners of dancing in the name of “Twerking“. Energetic tune as usual from the rapper and Pharrell made the production in this one. I believe this will be a summer hit but what do you think? Today’s Oldies Sunday selection comes from a legendary Reggae Artist, Sizzla Kalonji. Titled “Black Woman And Child” which was produced by Bobby Digital and released in 1996, we hear Sizzla showing love and appreciation for the black woman, promoting consciousness, Africa as the mother of all mankind, and Queen Omega. “Black Woman And Child” is one of Sizzla’s most popular singles and is a part of 2nd album of the same name which was released in 1997.

Today’s new music comes from two veterans in Dancehall Music, Barrington Levy and Mr. Vegas. Titled “Love The Way She Love” and produced by Black Roses and Platinum Camp, we hear the two artists showing love and appreciation for their significant others. This single is a part of Barrington Levy’s first album in 20 years, “Licensed To Thrill“. This is not the first time I’m hearing Mr. Levy on autotune but it’s cool that he embraces modern styles and the collaboration with Mr. Vegas isn’t bad. What do you think?
