The Summer may be coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean the festivities can’t continue. Recently, Drum & Bass Band Rudimental has added to the outside vibes with new music. They emphasize on the “outside” part with the visual for their new tune, “Ram Pam“.

Featuring Recording Artist Mystic Marley and UK Grime Artist Flowdan, Rudimental turns up the energy with “Ram Pam”. Mystic and Flowdan contribute with lyrics and great vibes, and you can help but feel charged up to this one. If you were a part of the recently-held Notting Hill Carnival in the UK, you may have seen Mystic connecting with the people in the streets, and Flowdan performing as we get a Visualizer to accompany the track. For those unfamiliar, Rudimental is a Platinum selling Band who has collaborated with Ed Sheeran, Stefflon Don, and Protoje, Flowdan is the first Grime Artist to win a GRAMMY and has enjoyed a successful career as an Artist and Producer, and Mystic Marley is the Daughter of Stephen Marley who made her debut in 2021 with the single, “Sad Girls (Cause Damage)“. Singer Yanah is getting back to the music, and promises to keep the Recording Booth busy in the future. Previously she has been making appearances at your favourite events, when it was time to perform, she wowed everyone at the venue. This time around, something, or rather someone has caught her attention in, “Dark Skin“.

Produced by Delagroove, Yanah has her eyes on someone in “Dark Skin”. Over retro Reggae-inspired production, she’s setting up the play to get him in her life, and be enthralled by all that he is. She opens the eyes of her viewers with her Bad Gee Studios-directed Visualizer, commanding your screen with her beauty, and sharing her situation. OLDIES SUNDAY: Messenjah – Rock You High (1982)

Reggae Music has enjoyed a number of “firsts” over the decades, and there are times we forget about them. For today’s “Oldies Sunday” selection, we highlight one of them. Today, we head over to North America to check out Canadian Reggae Band Messenjah’s “Rock You High“.

Produced by Rupert “Ojiji” Harvey and released through Phonyx Records in 1982, Messenjah came to shake the nation with good music on “Rock You High”. Taking the music to a new stage at the time, Messenjah was the first Canadian Reggae Band to sign to a major label (Warner Music Canada a.k.a. WEA). The track got a lot of attention for the Band as it quickly became well known outside of Canada, and it became a part of their live shows over the years. The track was released through their Independently-released debut album of the same name, which went on to be a success.

Since the release of “Rock You High”, Messenjah went on to become one of Canada’s most popular and successful Reggae Bands. The Band went on to release more music, collect awards, toured for a number of years, and even being featured in the movie “Cocktail” starring a then up and coming Actor named Tom Cruise. Messenjah disband in the late 1990s, but reunited with some members in 2014 for a Bob Marley tribute concert in Toronto. “Rock You High” remains one of their most popular releases.

Kris-Karz returns with new music, and we know the ladies will approve of this one. Earlier this year, he shared that he will be more consistent with the music, and elevate his game as a Producer and Songwriter. He had people talking with “GUSH” earlier this year, and this time around he shares, “Safe With Me (SWM)“.

Released through his Kngly Studios, Kris-Karz isn’t letting the Summer end without another tune for the ladies. On “Safe With Me”, he plays the role of protector and lover, and he assures his lady that she will given good love, made top priority, and taken care of in every department. The track taps into some Afrobeats sounds, and Karz looks forward to the support as it makes it way around the Internet (He asks each listener to stream it at least 11 times from start to finish everyday). Kris Karz looks to make the rest of 2024 a very interesting one.

For some, Fame is an open door for great opportunities. For others, it’s the beginning of problems. Dancehall Artist Chronic Law has been famous for quite some time, and his following continues to grow over time. While it has helped him achieve a success that he never had before, there are times he wishes he could enjoy a normal life again. He speaks on this and more on, “Fame“.

Produced by Disaster Music and Iconix Beatz, Chronic Law deals with what comes with being famous in, “Fame”. He has his moments where he wants to enjoy a normal life, he sees what fame does to people around him, and being the kind of person he is, he has to be more cautious due to his status. On a lighter side, fame has given him plenty opportunities to see a world outside of Jamaica, including a recent trip to the United States for the first time. “Fada Dark” looks to make even more advances in his career, but he still has to be on guard as fame has developed its share of junkies who would do anything for fame, and those who don’t mean the Deejay well. Nile SNL Premieres 6 New Tracks

Nile SNL continues to keep people talking this time around. The year has been good to him thanks to gaining viral success on Social Media, and he looks to take it up a notch with the work ethic. He hasn’t reached the level he needs to be, but he’s working on it. Recently, he premiered 6 brand new tracks.

In an effort to keep the radar on him, Nile SNL shared 6 new tracks that further showcases his talent. He remixed Skillibeng’s “Short Skirt“, goesa lil Emo, a lil Rock on “Chaya“, aims for the ladies with “Marigold“, “Antidote“, “Simple Maths“, and “I Love You“. Nile delivers something for every taste, but he’s not stopping there. Stay tuned for even more from him later this year.
