Salim "BruceLim" Brown x Robert "Dubwise" Browne - "My Mind = Made Up" on 13thStreetPromotions.com

.@SalimxBruceLim Rocks Out With Dad @RobertDubwise On “My Mind = Made Up”

Musician/Producer Salim “Brucelim” Browne like many musicians, has been channeling his feelings through his Instruments. The Bassist has been crafting beautiful sounds for quite some time, and may be the secret weapon you need in a Studio session. With a handful of releases showcasing his production prowess, he takes a task that finds him collaborating with an Icon. That person is legendary Musician/Producer Robert “Dubwise” Browne, also known as his Dad! Together they make a beautiful moment called, “My Mind = Made Up“.

Armed with their many analog and digital Instruments, Salim and Robert Browne give us the father/son tag team with a diverse range of sounds. Originally an Instrumental with an Artist in mind, Salim scrapped the idea after not seeing any progress, and extended the beat with the help of his Dad. If you like the production, you may want to reach out for a chance to rap/sing/deejay over the beat. The father/son dynamic is no stranger to the music scene, as we have seen collaborations with Vybz Kartel and his sons Likkle Addi and Likkle Vybz, Burro Banton and Leno Banton, Buju Banton with his sons Jahazeil and Markus Myrie, and most recently Tommy Lee Sparta and his son Skirdle Sparta. We hope this opens the door for more father/son collabs, and we look forward to more from Salim “Brucelim” Browne!

(Editor’s note: Big up the Browne family! Generations of talent. Check out this classic.)

Hector "Roots" Lewis - "Ups And Downs" on 13thStreetPromotions.com #Jamaica #Chronixx #Reggae #RootsLewis

.@RootsLewis Is Saving Lives With @JLLProd Produced Single, “Ups And Downs”

A few years ago we did a weekly segment in honour of “Women’s History Month“, and one of those Women we honoured was the late Singer, Barbara Jones. She blessed the scene with her lovely voice, gave us beautiful music to remember, and left a solid legacy. Carrying on her legacy and carving his own lane, is her son Hector “Roots” Lewis Jr. He is a Musician, a frequent collaborator with many of your favourite Artists including Chronixx, and is now fully stepping out as the first Artist signed to Chronixx’s Soul Circle Music label. He puts his best foot forward with his much anticipated single, “Ups And Downs“.

Teaming up with acclaimed Producer J.L.L., Hector “Roots” Lewis gives listeners healing, upliftment, and all around good vibes with “Ups And Downs”. He encourages listeners to never give up when there is failure in their life as “you can never rise if you never yet fall down“, holds his ground as he knows he’s built for the challenges that life has in store for him, and reminds us to always have Jah in everything you do. “Roots” Lewis steps out strong with “Ups And Downs”, and we’re confident that his new journey will be very fruitful.

Complex Ricki - "Checklist" for 13thStreetPromotions.com #Jamaica #DancehallPop #Cleveland #Music

.@ComplexRicki Brings Out Her “Checklist”

Recording Artist Complex Ricki has been putting in the work. Even when you think she’s fading away, she bounces back with new and fresh content for your head tops. With singles  and videos for “Waterfalls” and “Catching Feelings Might Hurt You” doing well for the Artist, she’s still in the lab working on new music, and is picking out the next set of gear for her music videos. She follows up the previous singles with “Checklist“.

She makes you what she’s about as well, and anything is possible when she “tek set“. Ricki comes through with her usual vibe and style on a track, and “Checklist” will be on many Playlists. Accompanying the track, is a music video directed by Director Bolo, and Ricki is onscreen looking as good as ever, and having fun throughout the visual. Will Complex Ricki drop a new project soon? Kyoka - "Hurt People" for 13thStreetPromotions.com #Jamaica #Dancehall #Kyoka

.@Kyoka_Donn Prays For Better Days On “Hurt People”

Life is filled with ups and downs, and our experiences shape how we conduct ourselves and journey through life. Some may have had beautiful moments for most of their lives, while others have experienced pain and hardships. Upcoming Artist Kyoka has experienced a lot in her lifetime, and she speaks on some of them in her debut single, “Hurt People“.

Featuring production by Zimi Ent., Kyoka gives us lyrics we can all relate to. We get hurt, especially by people we love and care about, but that hurt may linger and cause us to hurt others, and it moves on to others and creates cycles. In Kyoka’s eyes, people are fake, and are only here to use and abuse so she is very cautious of who shares her energy with. Many of us are broken one way or another, but is there a fix? May we pray for better days. Kyoka takes our thoughts and channels them well in her song, and accompanying it is a well shot music video directed by Ruption of RD Studios. Kyoka comes out strong for her debut, and we believe she’ll be around for a long time.

Koffee - West Indies for 13thStreetPromotions.com #Jamaica #Dancehall #Koffee

.@OriginalKoffee Returns To Party In The “West Indies”.

The last time we heard Recording Artist Koffee, she wanted to get into some “Lockdown” loving. Sadly, since the advent of the Covid 19 pandemic, our lives have experienced a series of lockdowns, but not of the loving kind. Some have said that the song jinxed us, but we’re still here dodging Covid, and trying to live our lives. Over a year since Koffee’s last single, she returns with her new single, “West Indies“.

Produced by iotosh, Koffee expresses her desire to enjoy her life in the great West Indies. She wants to have fun, she wants to party, and she wants to be around the people she loves. We feel the same way too, and for some of us, we have to live vicariously through those who are enjoying fully vaccinated lives without lockdowns, restrictions, and dangers thanks to the Coronavirus. Accompanying the single is a music video directed by Meji Alabi, Koffee, and JM Films that promotes family, friends, fun, and that amazing Island life. We’re treated to cameos from some very familiar faces as well, and the video has us missing all the “outside” has to offer. Koffee is back on the scene to run the place!
