Portland Champions @IyaraANG For @ReggaeSumfest!

To the people of Portland, Eric Somers, better known as Iyara is more than a Recording Artiste, to them he is a shining symbol that demands respect. Following the release of the much anticipated list of performers for Reggae Sumfest 2016, people are astounded as to why this talented powerhouse did not make the cut. Many Portlanders have sought to understand this plight and have since started a petition to get Iyara to perform at the Music event. So far the petition has over 1,500 signatures pleading with the organizers of the show to give the Artiste a slot to perform. “I have known this young man for many years. He has never given up on his Parish; he has always helped in some way to raise capital for Portland and to put us on the map. If Iyara performs at Sumfest it will be a great day in Portland.” Said one Portlander.

When quizzed about this development, Iyara said he is not surprised that his community has made this move because they have supported him immensely over the years and he has supported them in return. “When you have the support of your community, it is a feeling of greatness and pride. I feel humbled and I know whatever the outcome I will be happy.” Said Iyara. The “Pressure Cooker” Artiste is also looking forward to his performance at Portland Paradise Weekend which will place from November 11-13, 2016. Iyara will also be giving a portion of his performance fee to the Titchfield High School for the development of an English and Language Lab.

@PondemikJamaica Pays Homage To The 876 With New Single

Armed with a plethora of lyrics and an abundance of talent is the unstoppable duo, Pondemik Jamaica. The pair, which consists of Jazii and Carey, has teamed up to revolutionize the business by fusing Reggae, Dancehall and EDM to create a unique sound that reflects the Jamaican culture. “I am from Jamaica” featuring Trevi Q is the latest project from Pondemik Jamaica. It is a fun reflection of what it’s like to be a Jamaican, while highlighting some elements of the culture. The song which is a crossover between EDM and Dancehall was created to promote patriotism among Jamaicans at home and abroad. “I am from Jamaica” was released earlier this year and is produced by Pondemik Records and made available via VP Records.

“Pondemik is derived from Pandemic, and represents our dream of making music that spreads uncontrollably through the world like a virus. Adding the word “Jamaica”, marks our plan to ensure the music reflects the Jamaican culture at all times.” Said Carey. With the preceding effort, “Want Love” featuring Kosha doing extremely well, Pondemik is hopeful that this song will also be well received. “Really, we are just hoping for the best. We’ve had moderate success for the song “Want Love” and we hope for the best.” Expressed Jazii.

Plans are already on the way for an accompanying video for I am from Jamaica, which is slated to be released by the first week of August. They are currently busy in the studio working on their next release which will be in September. “This will be a reality song that is expected to appeal to the wider Dancehall market. We are also working on numerous other projects including a Reggae song with a European Producer.”

About Mainland Cheeses:

MAINLAND EDAM CHEESE: Contains 25% less fat than traditional cheddar, with a fresher, lighter, and more delicate flavor. It has fantastic properties when melted.

MAINLAND SPECIAL RESERVE GOUDA: Creamier than cheddar cheese, with a mild flavor.  Mainland Gouda is ideal for cheese platters or as a cooking ingredient.

MAINLAND TASTY CHEDDAR: A sharp, powerful flavor, naturally aged for 18 months to develop that distinctive Mainland flavor, while retaining a thick, slightly-crumbly texture.

MAINLAND MOZZARELLA: This is an Italian-style cheese with a mild flavor and elastic body. It is made from pasteurized cow’s milk. It is kept frozen to maintain its characteristic stretchiness. It is due to this quality that this cheese is ideal for pizzas.
