Carnival season is still in effect, and many are looking to turn up the heat this summer. Grenada is getting ready for Spicemas in August, and the Artists have been putting out music to ramp up hype. Those looking forward to visit the Island will be in for a great time. It will be one for the books for Recording Artist Skull Dawg as he will be frolicking in “Jab Paradise“.

Produced by Gatez for Greenz Connection and Run Road on the “Bad Jab Riddim“, it’s the season for Jab Jab in Skull Dawg’s “Jab Paradise”. The track aims to bring some much-needed vibes, getting listeners ready to revel at Spicemas. With a music video directed by Deva for Mafia Image, Skull and crew take the vibes to the streets with plenty tar, music, Rivers Grenadian Rum, and even a shopping cart. They say sometimes the best stories happen at night, and Dancehall Artist Silk Boss found himself in a situation. What was gonna be a regular night turned into something that needed a Riddim and Studio immediately. Silk Boss shares the drama, more like the “Midnight Drama“.

Produced by Weekday on the “Super Glue Riddim“, Silk Boss got caught up with the Women in some “Midnight Drama”. Chilling with Weekday in a Top Shootah-directed video, Silk shares the saga while we’re given a few scenes. The night could’ve made a left turn, the night could’ve been a boring one. But with Silk Boss, anything is possible, and he had to showcase his storytelling skills for this one. What a piece a drama.

Welcome to the month of June on “Oldies Sunday“! In some cultures, the month is a popular one for Weddings, and today we will highlight a song that has been a part of many Wedding playlists. We go back in time to check out Alaine’s “No Ordinary Love“.

Produced by Don Corleon Records on the “Seasons Riddim” and released in 2005, Alaine sings about the type of love that grows and sticks with you in, “No Ordinary Love”. She sings about all the good that comes from the love she’s experiencing, from the cozy moments, to the lovemaking, to security that comes with being with that special someone. “No Ordinary Love” quickly became the breakout single for Alaine, making her an Artist to watch. The “Seasons Riddim” was a popular release, and the single was one of the top played singles off of the compilation. “No Ordinary Love” would be later featured on her 2007 debut album, “Sacrifice“, and has become a favourite over the years during Valentine’s Day celebrations, and on Wedding days.

Since the release of “No Ordinary Love”, Alaine went on to become one of Jamaica’s most-loved Vocalists. She previously earned fame as a child star, but after leaving life in the corporate world to pursue music, she never looked back. She would release more music over the years, held her own as a music judge on Digicel’s Rising Stars, and continues to take her music to stages in parts of the world. “No Ordinary Love” is one of her most popular singles.

Vybz Kartel Makes It About “God & Time” With 19th Album

Not many Artists can reach the level of “legend” in Jamaican music, but Dancehall Artist Vybz Kartel is one of those Artists who did. From achieving a cult-like following, to adding hits to his name for a couple decades, to becoming a name outside of music, not even Prison could hold him back. Now nearly two years since being free, he’s enjoying life, his family, his fans, and more success that has come his way. It wasn’t an easy journey, and like his new album, he left it to “God & Time“.

Featuring 14 tracks, Vybz Kartel is on another level with the release of his 19th album, “God & Time”. Kartel is still in top form here, showing an appreciation for where he is now, and what more he can achieve. His motivational tracks are present, but his signature girl tunes, and the music that highlights his status and rewarding lifestyle are included as well. TJ Records handles the production with a number of Composers, which include Zack Fostaty, Raphael Vivet, and Redboom Supamix. As for the features, Spice and Skillibeng show up, Vybz goes International with WizKid and Farruko, and he reunites with Shenseea and Mavado. Vybz Kartel is in a good space nowadays, and while he’s being a character thanks to his viral TikTok and Instagram content, it took God and time to get him here. Another level unlocked.

Produced by Chargie Records/Caado Beatz/Rich Together, Skippa keeps the focus on the riches in, “Fast Button”. Whether getting through stage shows or off the phone, the Deejay has Rolexes to wear, Sports Cars to drive off the lot, and more things to acquire. It takes a lot to be a part of the fast life, and to maintain it as well, and while people will talk, Skippa blocks them out with the sound of the money machine.
