It’s friday, it’s the end of the work week for many so why not unwind and get some rum in your system? Masicka sure knows that he gets a vibe from sipping some rum in this new song. Titled “Rum (No Kick From Champagne)” and produced by Equiknoxx Music and featuring a Frank Sinatra sample, Masicka deejays about his love for rum, how champagne has no big effect on him and how rum has been apart of a few of his experiences. NEW MUSIC: Singer J – Stay Away (Prod. By @ItsNeverSleep)

Today’s new music comes from Singer J and he really surprised me with this one. Titled “Stay Away” and produced by Never Sleep Productions on the One Life Riddim, Singer J speaks about a lover that he tries hard to get over but to no avail. He sings about how loving her gets him angry, how she never knew how much she meant to him, how hard it is to stay away from her and how she’s now with someone else. I’ve been a listener of Singer J ever since he collaborated with Q45 in the early 2000s and it really saddened me that he never got much further in the business. He is a talented person and this song is a really great one and should be getting heavy rotation everywhere. Check out the song below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

OLDIES SUNDAY: @RealJuniorReid – One Blood (1989)

Today’s Oldies Sunday selection comes from Reggae legend Junior Reid with one of his biggest hits. Titled “One Blood” and produced by J.R. Productions in 1989, this was a song that encouraged unity amongst everyone no matter where they live, who they are, their conditions, and their race for they all shared “One Blood“. He also encouraged others to stop the warfare for it caused too much bloodshed.

Captain Sparta, is he a friend or a foe? Can he leap tall buildings in a single bound? We’ll just have to stay tuned. Tonight’s new music video comes from Tommy Lee. Titled “Captain Sparta” and directed by Mental Chung (Dutty Bwoy series), we all know about his controversial song so we now have a visual. Very nice graphics however, a mix of 3D, comic book styles and cartoon characters it sure is interesting. He also has children involved as well. What a weird looking Jimmy Neutron.
