NEW MUSIC: @IAmSafaree – Lifeline

Getting tired of the shots being thrown at him lately, Rapper Safaree stepped in the booth to send some back. The single, titled “Lifeline“, goes at Meek Mill who threw jabs at him last week on Twitter. In his defense, he aims to downplay Meek’s career and considering his relationship with Nicki Minaj a downgrade. He also questions if Meek is jealous of Rapper Drake’s success as he also took shots at him last week. It was about time SB responded as he has tried to stay out of beefing and move on. Passing through the Hot 97 studio recently was Dancehall artist Kranium for the “Ebro In The Morning” show. Here he spoke about his single “Nobody Has To Know“, its popularity and the remix with Ty Dolla Sign, Drake liking the single and featuring it at his concerts, being signed to Atlantic Records, promoting other singles, releasing a mixtape in September, and being “single-ish“. NEW MUSIC: @Jamie___XX x @PopcaanMusic x @YoungThug – I Know There’s Gonna Be

Considered an odd collaboration, today’s new music comes from UK Producer Jamie XX, Dancehall artist Popcaan and Rapper Young Thug. Titled “I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times)“, this is a single that celebrates life and enjoying it to the fullest over some very wonderful production and samples that add to the theme. For those who aren’t familiar with Jamie XX, he’s the producer behind the late Gil Scott-Heron’s “I’ll Take Care You” which was sampled for Drake’s “Take Care” single.
